Default how do you shift when racing? (at the track)

a few people have told me powershifting is the easiest way to get a decent time, but its not something you really want to do. how do you guys shift, and what do you launch at?

(power shift) you got to time the shift just right, releasing clutch and shifting gear, takes some practice...be prepard to burn out clutch

in addition to shifting at redline I've got good results with a slight difference between pushing the clutch in and taking off the gas....it gives a slight rev as you go into the next gear, giving you a bit of a ... boost (for lack of a better word)

Powershfiting when done right will not kill your clutch. Stock clutch lasted me 53K miles NEVER 1X slipped before I chose to replace it for the turbo kit. Anyways here is how I shift when racing

Just a normal speed shift is the easiest way to get a good time without putting unnecessary wear on your drivetrain.

I'm assuming you're talking about a straight line track? I powershift and speedshift, depending on my mood. Personally, I feel that powershifting is very slightly faster than speedshifting. My times are very close between powershifting and speedshifting. Many people can't powershift but they seem to do fine with speedshifting. I think it's a matter of personal choice.
