Default New wheels and a cool a$$ compliment

Got some new wheels, so I was feeling pretty good. Decided to take the afternoon off and cruise downtown to show off the new shoes. I was stopped at a red light and some guy asked me what paint colour that is because he thought it was hot and wanted to get his car painted the same colour. So while I was yelling to him "Lemans Sunset", I noticed a flash to my left, I turned around and there were two girls taking a picture of my car with their camera. I felt like a million bucks just then, LOL!

Anyhoo, here are the wheels: Fast SSG gunmetal spokes with polished lip, fronts are 245/40/18 and backs are: 285/35/18, Tires are Falken 451. I can't believe how light these wheels are compared to the OEM wheels, these new wheels feel like 10 pounds lighter then OEM (I should have weighed them to be more exact)! I apologize for the 6 year old digital camera resolution

PS: I am soooooo glad I decided to get 285's in the back, they looks so aggressive!!

Thank you for all the comments, guys! I really appreciate it. And I'm glad you guys liked the wheels, it was because of you guys and this board that helped me research on what type of wheels and tires to get for the Zed.

I learned a lot about rim size, tire width, not to use abrasive solution to clean polished lips, offsets, spacers, thread life, and brand of tires. It was reading though your comments that made me finally decide what to get, so kudas!

I also hope that these wheels can prove that you don't need to get Volks or HRE rims to get people to like your rims on this board.

Answers to some questions and comments:
I know I need to drop the Zed, but I've been scraping a bit with the lip as it is right now, I wanted a bit of time driving with these new wheels to see if it is smart to drop it. I am thinking of just droping it 0.7 inches all around.

The two girls were with their boyfriends, so I doubt they would have disrespected them to shout out anything at me

My next mod will probably be a tint job to the two side windows, they are too light. A big mod that I will be thinking for next summer is the Do-luck rear bumper with Carbon Fiber diffuser, but that is a lot of money >_<;;

Nitrouz, it would be awsome to see your Zed in person! I'll be the one taking pictures of your car! LOL

I thought about going to 19's but the tire width that I wanted would have proven too expensive to change when I wear these ones out. I have a habit of making my car slid when going into turns, so I wear my tires out pretty quickly

And in my head, I think they were taking a picture of me! LOL

PS: For anyone in the Ottawa, Ontario area, my car and VeilsideZ33's Zed (his car is 10 times more tricked out than my car) will be in the car show Total Sport Compact at the Lynx stadium tomorrow!

have you changed tires since the pics, because the rear tire says 285/35/18 and the front looks like it says 255/40/18. Not trying to be a d**k or anything, i just got 18's and bought 255/35 and 285/35 falken 452 and was wondering what they look like on the car
