I'm on clubwrx because I used to own a WRX. I defended the Z on there. To be fair the STi does offer better performance but it still doesn't have the sports car feel that the Z does. It's fast but it still feels like an econo car because despite the 300hp its still based on a lowly impreza. If you lived in an area with really bad weather and needed AWD it then would be great, your not going to find a better performance car for inclement weather. In terms of look the Z has them all beat by far. I liked the way my 05 wrx looked but the Z just looks so much better.

honestly my two cents would be that the subbie guys are kind of jealous being the fact that the 350 has gotten tuner car of the year according to modified mag (followed by the S2K and then the STI), and every other car mag you look it all you see is "Year of the Z!!!" but other then that its all prefrence. im pretty sure a couple of those guys on that forum debated the 350Z in their "line up" of cars they want to look at before purchasing. either that or their all just haters

Thank god there are others thinking the same thing I am, everyone making the comments about the STI are just stooping to a ricer level, I mean ****, give other cars respect, the STI is a nice, fast car, maybe it doesnt look as good as the Z to YOU, but that doesnt mean it looks like shiet. Come on guys grow UP.

I also agree with whoever said the '06 STI's are ugly! Especially with the roof spoiler; what were they thinking? lol

I'm pretty sure that alot of Z owners debated an STI before too, I know I thought about it, and the EVO...
So lets just hope that $600 snow tires gets me where I need to go this winter.
I do agree that the Z looks nicer (to me) and the new STi could lose that enormous wing on the back. But give credit where credit is due -- STi is FAST.

The Z is a nice car. I wouldn't get one for a daily driver, but that's because I have a kid and need the back seat...

Life is too short to drive an ugly car......
I literally cringe EVERYDAY at the bizarre vehicles that people actually PAY $ to drive in.
That box-on-wheels POS Toyota Scion truck-car looking thing is hideous I lost ALL respect for Toyota anyway after nixing the Supra, Celica GTS and MR2

This is a pretty lame argument. All the Z has over the STi is looks. The STi beats the Z in all performance aspects. I have debated this argument, time and time again in my head. Between the two I will eventually get a Z, not because it looks better. But because overall it is a better car for me.

I wish the STI came wrapped in a different body, even the old body style with the squared headlights... it looks too much like a Kia on steroids. Plus all STIs come with that fugly blue interior. If I was 16 and single I'd consider the STI. But I'm 23 and married... Z me. =)
