Look this is simple, do what Kam350z says. It'll make you fell 110% better. And if it doesn't make you feel better, than at least you won't think about the car so much.
As long as no one got seriously hurt, it's going to work out, things happen for a reason.
Good Luck.

Thats not 100% true...maybe where you work it is but with State Farm if I drive another persons car and I wreck it, my insurance covers it.

Sounds like you have a verbal contract to me, if the insurance doesn't cover it, witnesses and the agreement you came to will. Time for a body kit and new wheels.

Wow, sorry to hear this. Very tough way to find out what your friend is capable of! Hope he does pay up as requested - and if it end up being your insurance that covers it, he should pay your increased premiums for the next three years too.

Ouch, ouch, ouch...

I thought it depends on the company. Some companies, if you wreck someones car, will cover it.

Sucks though man. Hope it works out okay.

I've let two really good friends drive my car and god for bid nothing has happened but i think its the end of the line because both of them are always broke and would never be able to pay for a dimes worth of damage. But sorry to hear about it hope everything works out.

I know my insurance covers me when I rent a car, I check with my agent to be sure every time I rent. I don't see why this would be any different to renting a car.

What..your friend doesn't even know his own neighborhood? You said you went running over there, so it must have been close to his house! I agree, this guy is a bonehead, and never let him forget it! Regardless if you remain friends or not...

As posted above, I never let anyone drive me car and in return, I never ask to drive anyone elses car. Only people that have driven my car since I purchased it are my father (for about 30 min total to test it out,) and a valet guy (who I slipped $20 to to make him park it in the VIP parking spot and keep it there.)

My own blood cousin has been asking me to drive my car and I always reply with, "no."
