Default i am such an idiot!!!!

So i am driving into work two days ago and i was getting off the freeway. I looked around to make sure there are no cops and i take off. I go around the turn and put it in 2nd and floor it... i pitch it out sideways and its go way out... so i let off the gas and then i was going straight at a car... so then i hit the brakes, and do a full 180 and slid backwards straight up a curb. luckily there was no damage to the body, but as i pull off the curb, i start to scrape... well just took the car in this morning, and come to find out i have to fork out about $2,000 for new cats and other little stuff... can you say idiot!!!!!!!!

Dang man, sounds like you still need to get used to the power of the Z or something. I know what you did because I did a 180 in the street with my Z before when I wasn't too familiar with its power, lol. Where are you in the Bay Area?

Idiot

Don't feel to bad, most of us have done something stupid like that... Back when I got a brand new Honda Accord (back in 1990) i had some supsension and stuff put on it and was bragging to my friend how good it handles. So I took him for a ride and punched it around this corner, my car slid up a driveway @ a 45 degree angle and nailed a mail box, I must of punted that mail box a good 200 feet, but it left a huge dent in my hood and bumper cost me about $800 to fix it...

Never downshift and "punch it" in a turn. Select your desired gear before entering the turn and shift and accelerate smoothly. I too have learned the hard way.

I would suggest leaving your TCS on until you know how your car handles ... Then again you may be a lost cause ...

For the sake of the other drivers at the track, I hope the walls between each lane are 10 feet high 3 feet thick.

are you being serious? you can't even handle going around a turn and want to take it to a track?

dutchboy( wondering what the age of the OP is ? )
