you might want to find a vacant parking lot or something and spend some time learning how the Z handles, if this is your first rwd powerful car then you might want to think about slowing down until you get used to it....good thing your okay and you did not hit anybody else....

Default dont feel bad

dont feel bad man first hour i had my car i spin out almost wrap the car into a light poll making a left turn at 40mph thank god for VDC and whatever else kicked in. if that did not kick in i would be walking to work for some reason i shifted in the turn i went in the wrong gear. the 350z has higher gears then the TT i used to have or should i say longer. but we all make mistakes

I bet very many people have done the same thing on this Forum, don't lie.

Doing it AGAIN is where you get the "Idiot" title.

Just a quick word of advice if your car is going around on you, do NOT hit the brakes. Kinda driving 101. Clutch in, steer out...that's all you need. it's not going to be a smooth or pretty ride, but having the car jerk and bounce to where you're supposed to be going is always better than riding a curb. (or worse) I personally have never spun any car, except when i was trying.

If you have more power than rubber on the road then you need to learn how to drift a bit. If you have a deserted dirt road with no trees and cliffs you can learn how to steer with the gas pedal while steering _away_ from the turn when you start to slip. Or learn how to drift on a dirt bike.

The TCS helps on the Z.

Once you know how to correct for a drift, you can learn to downshift, blip the throttle, let out the clutch, power on holding your line in the corner and then power on as soon as you see the exit. You can adjust your line tighter in the corner by lifting up ever so slightly on the gas. If you hit the gas on exit just right, you will actually drift a little to the outside of the corner so you need to be careful.
