Question No center caps?

Is no center caps a new JDM thing or something? Im seeing all these very serious cars in magazines and other places with no center caps.

Just wondering if anyone esle noticed this......and what you guys think.

bah... it's been around for a while. The trend that started here was first with Honda's and the first F&F. It was a "tuner" look. No center caps were supposed to be a sign that you take your wheels on and off too often tweaking your Suspension and whatever to warrant putting your caps back on. Dumb and pointless "psuedo-mod" that was just there cause everyone did it. Like 1 vertical wiper, or a tow ring on a civic that never sees track time. These are all things that had racing roots and reasons, then just got riced out and done wrong. "No you can't just use JB Weld to mount your annodized tow hook."

I haven't ran center caps for about a year after two of mine broke from "removing my wheels for the track" so I can put either different tires or for whatever reason there was. So I just left them off and people ask why I don't have them and after I tell them what happened and how I like it better, they say they like it better as well. I did have the center touched up like bnazty as well. By the way B, nice brakes!

center caps add rotational mass to the wheel.
no caps=faster car.

I bought some SSR GT-2s from Tire Rack and they claimed that they did not make center caps for them. Inquired with TR a couple more times and they "found" some, $100 for set of 4. Kind of suprising as when they arrived they were stamped with GT-2 on them. WTF?

I bought some cheap wheels for the z when i first got it . the center caps kept falling out and at 15 bucks a pop i decided to go center capless and i actually thought it looked better.
