Default "fearmyz"

I have "FEARMYZ" reserved for my California Environmental plate. Think it's a little too much? My wife actually liked it best out of all the ones I wrote down for my black track model including:

QCK350Z
BLK350Z
TRK350Z
MY350Z
SXY350Z
350Z4ME
BAD350Z

I wonder if I should make my car that memorable or just go with a random plate. Is "FEARMYZ" a little too much ego??
Give me your opinions please.

It'll get you more attention from people at stoplights wanting to race. But I like it nonetheless. Definitely the best of the list.

Thumbs down

I would NEVER get a vanity plate and I'll tell you why. If you ever pissed someone off either knowingly or unknowingly and they see your car somewhere in public in the future, they will have no doubt that you are the same guy that made them mad a few days before. Keyed car fiesta, Steve. Keyed car fiesta.

Just don't make anyone mad. I'm going to hide in a Sea of Silverstone.

>>>I'm going to hide in a Sea of Silverstone. <<<

Looking at it from another perspective, what happens if someone in a silverstone car pisses someone off and they get your car by mistake because all the "regular plates look alike'.

Just trying to cause trouble

You'll definitely get a lot of challenges to race with that plate, it seems very 'boy-racer' to me. But if that doesn't bother you, go for it.

Of course, only cars with 286 or less HP will truly fear you.

Something like ZMEGOBY or something it a little less threatening. If I saw FEARMYZ on the road, I'd think I needed to get ready for a wheel to fall off or something.

Took a few seconds to figure that one out. Difference between Zed and Zee.

When you cross the border and you have a Z in your licence plate they ask you what your licence plate # is to confirm if you're American or Canadian.

raceboy,

How do you order a plate for a car when you don't have a VIN? I've gone to the dmv site and pulled the form, but it looks like it needs a VIN.

Are you able to just reserve the "FEARMYZ" without the car, then get the plate issued once the car arrives?

I want to get mine ready, so that when the Z finally arrives, I'll have my plate.

Appreciate it,
Dave

Nice thought Gibbs, looks like you just sniffed out another b.s. post!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Besides fearmyz,,,,,,,is really cheesy, Kind of like my brothers factory rear window sticker on his '82 dodge colt turbo.."Don't step on the gas unless you really mean it!"

For the fake post,,,,,, i say ya go ahead and get it.

If you don't mind an aggressive plate, it's fine. However, there are many choices for more subtle (but not inane) plates. As one example, see mine below.

Here are a couple of sample web sites with thousands of vanity plate examples.

I definitely won't get vanity tags - too easy for a cop to remember as you blow by him.....

Here are some ideas - perfect for the Z would be

FINALLY

Remember the Renault Le Car? I saw one with tags that said

LE TAG

For the Z, how about

Z TAG

Before you accuse someone of making a false stetement you should make sure you know what you are talking about. In Ca you can reserve a plate even without a VIN#. It costs $40. My plates actually arrived at the DMV last month, but you CAN"T PICK THEM UP without a VIN#. The DMV will then hold the plates for 30 days after notifying you. I had to call the DMV and wait on hold for 40 minutes to get a 90 day extension to hold the plate. Go to the CA plate configurator and you will now see that FEARMYZ is taken.

But if you still don't believe me:

Or if the link doesn't work cut and paste this:

I suppose some apologies are in order here. I thnk your advice, Raceboy, that :

"Before you accuse someone of making a false stetement you should make sure you know what you are talking about"

is sound on many levels even here in anonymity of the internet.

rep15, no problem. I realize the internet is the liars forum for the world. Hell, I keep asking one guy here for some proof of his amazing HP gain on an Altima and still haven't gotten any pics that were promised. I would be skeptical myself without the pic.

Truth is Pat that I suck at racing. I am just really good at going fast and not hitting anything!!

I just looked at Ca's plate ordering site and it has changed from when I ordered mine. Click here: https://vrir.dmv.ca.gov/ipp/PerLicensePlateServlet
