just got my 06 PPW z on saturday........there were no more base z's in all of San Diego area....one of the dealers down here had to have a base Z shipped on a truck from palm springs to San Diego to get one. its defenately worth the wait... alot of fun to drive.

 

If I recall correctly, the base is the least produced trim level, and also the least sold. I think the chart went something like Touring being the most sold, then Enthusiast, then Track, and finally Base. The base also only comes in 6MT, like the Track. So I think you're right saying that they're tough to find, seeing how they're pretty uncommon among the Zs.

 

If Nissan were smart, they might make a few more Base Models avail for people who need to stay below the $30K price range.

I'm sure they'd sell more Base Models, if they made more of them, IMO.

Fortunately, I didn't have to wait for mine...She was right there on the lot..she looked over at me and said "Buy Me" and wiggled her sexy Chrome Silver butt...and I was in love....LOL
