Default DUMB shift **** question

I bought a nismo titanium shift ****, the thing looks great but bugs the crap outta me because there is space between the bottom of the **** and the boot, I tried pushing up on the cone shaped piece of foam under the boot, but it doesnt stay up against the bottom of the ****.....how the hell do ya fix it?

this ****?

it does not come with a finisher...

you can take a small rubber hose and put it under the shift boot to push it up if needed...

This is the rubber version on my car... i didnt mind the gap...

i had the same issue, and i just got the same shift **** about a month ago. I ended up taking out the plastic piece at the top of the shift boot and basically put a rubber band around the shift boot inside to hold it tight up against the shift ****..... did that make any sense at all? prob. not

but that "shank gasket" idea sounds like a good one too

Hate to say it, but the stock shifter is much more attractive than any of those shown above.
