What state does he live in? I saw my first Pikes Peak White Z yesterday in Virginia and it was a snowy day. Was wondering whether or not he made it though the day intact considering the number of other cars with better snow traction that were wiping out.

Just another example of why you should drive the Z in the snow/sleet with stock tires (RE040)

Well thank you! You just made my day cause it has been raining here in the valley of the sun the last few days and I am not real proud of how my Z is looking at the moment!
BTW, that shot was taken about 40 miles out of Phoenix with what is called Four Peaks in the background. A little photoshop on the bkgrnd. and the LeMans Sunset paint took care of the rest. Thanks, Regards, Jim

I was out w/ my friend last night who is an Oklahoma Highway patrolman, he told me about the car, he said it was all messed up from running into the gardrail you mentioned. But the funny thing is my mom called me today at work and told me that they had a PPW Z at their bodyshop. She works at Bob Moore, so if he has any problems, tell him to give me a call. That is one of the best bodyshops around town, they will take care of him. Let me know if there is anything I can do.

HAHAHAHA....that video is hilarious...it's like none of those people have ANY clue how to drive in slush...the road didn't really even have snow accumulated on it. And that dumb dot truck had it's arrow pointing the WRONG way....hahahahaha.

We had more snowfall in middle TN in Feb this year than we have had in the last several years. We do get a lot of ice. Your right, people here do not know how to drive in snow. Funny thing is most people here in Nashville are from up north. As to the DOT truck, I am supprised it was even out. They usally wait till the roads are clogged before putting down any salt. I was in Chicago this time last year when a 8' snowfall fell. It was impressive as to how the road crews kept the roads free of snow. They started when the snow started falling and never quit. The drivers there never tailgated when snow was falling and seemed to be in no hurry.

Here in VT, every bridge has a caution sign that says "Bridge freezes before Road". Of course, it does not apply to BMW drivers here, either!!!!
I never thought of having the directional arrow point drivers INTO a crash area.....
