I cant understand how some of u guys get even 25mpg. Could there be something wrong with my Z?! All opinions welcome.

How many miles, pull of your air filter cover and look inside for a restriction or really dirty air cleaner. Just an idea!

Avg. 20.9 MPG with spirited driving.

Hmm.. I'm assuming you know how to reset the mpg meter, right? If you have been resetting it and still can't get over 16.9mpg I would say either your mpg meter is wrong, or you really are getting lousy gas mileage. You can confirm either by manually calculating how many mpg yourself.

If you only make short drives then your MPG is going to suck... My office is only like 2 miles from my house and I only get 12.6 mpg on my FX35 during the week driving back and forth from work, but if I do a lot of driving around town It goes up into the 17's and on highway I get over 25 MPG..

Welcome. The top number (MPG) is worthless without telling us the bottom number (average MPH). Give us some data to review:

MPG at 40mph?
MPG at 50mph?
MPG at 60mph?

My MPG stayed at around 16.4 when I first got the car two weeks ago (22 MPH average). I reset it at my last fillup and now I am getting 19.6 MPG with 23 MPH average. My driving is about 80/20 city/highway.

2.5 mile commute and same type of deal with my Z. More like 15-16 mph, but just starting the car takes a decent amount of miles to get over the warm-up burn rate. If you don't drive those extra miles, and top it off by driving it hard, well, mpg will suck. On those occasions I do some highway driving the mileage reponds accordingly. OP, you haven't said how you drive it, so I don't think anyone here can tell you if what you see is expected or not.

But what is your actual gas mileage?

Fill your tank and zero the odometer. Also zero out the electronic display Next time you fill up, divide the gallons (on the pump) into the mileage (on the odometer).

Now compare the actual (measured) MPG to the number on the display.
