Default White Z Help

I'm in the market for a Z. Let me start by saying I'm 18 and I will be the one paying for the payments and insurance. My parents are co-signing due to credit reasons and I've been around pricing Z's at different dealerships. I'm looking at an 06' base which is the only Z type I can afford. The dealership I'm probably going to go with is offering an 06' base Z in any color I want for 26500. After my 2k deposit and 3500 trade in, the OTD price is 22k. He does however have an 05' white base with only 3k miles on it for 21k OTD price. I was hoping some people here could maybe post some pics of their white Z with mods so I can see what they look like and how nice they can be. I want a black Z really bad, partially to match my step dads black 69' chevelle SS in the garage. But I think white is ok. thanks everyone

matt

p.s. I get the car, whichever one, at the end of the month. Any input on what you guys think I should do would be appreciated.

If you are going to get the base, definately get the '05 with 3k miles for 21k OTD. That is freaking cheap. Too bad that deal didn't exist around here when I bought mine. $22,500 for 2003 Enthusiast, 32k miles.

Can't find the picture I really wanted. I don't have any good pics of mine really cept these..

OTD price on a new 06 base is only 1g more than the used... Definately go with the new. Oh and stick with white, looks freaking sexy when modded . The dealership i went to didn't have a white, OR a black. So i ahd to get Silver

here's my Z. I love PPW.

04 Enthusiast with 30k miles for $22k. I would go with the 06 base just because its only $1k more and i like the 06's better.

and the ladies love it..

That is a very good selling point IMO . Also, the guy that said the 05' has less hp, thats false. The 05 is the anniversary edition which is when they made the bump to 300hp which is where the 06' stands

If it's only 1,000 difference then def get the '06 model...BTW, what do you do (work) to handle the payments and the insurance? How much would the payments be?

payments for the 05' would be about 397 and for the 06' about 405. Thats including a 6% apr charge every month which we feel is do able because my mom has an 820 credit rating. Insurance is 220 until November which it will then go down because it'll mark my 2 years for being on the plan.

As for work, I work on a freight dock. I get about 20-30 hours a week and as of now I'm at 12.50 an hour. I have 2 raises ahead of me so by January, I'll be making 13.50. I'm also going to start attending college in 2 weeks but thats all paid for.

There are other dealers out there, and the internet - Dont limit yourself to these two cars ( which might not even be there at the end of the month )

Could also look into an 04 performance, or track - which you might like more.

Nah. I've heard too many problems with 03 and 04 models plus they have less hp. Also, this isnt the only dealership I've looked at. There are 3 others I went to and they had horrible service and wouldnt negotiate. Salesmen at some of the dealerships here just dont take an 18 year old seriously. And for that, they lose out on a sale.

You said an 05 Base w/ 3k was available, not a 35th. I doubt you can get a 35th for $1k over the price of an 06 Base. Invoice on the 35th is over $36k.
