Well I was in a pretty good mood after hearing all the news regarding "R" numbers and "S" numbers. Especially since I have an "R" number.

So i decided to send an email to my dealer and asked her if she had heard any news about production, VIN #, or anything from regional. Here was her reply:

Hello,
I think that is just speculation. The report I had today showed July not June, this is a report that is generated by Nissan headquarters. If the vehicle had a vin# it would show on the report. I will call my rep tomorrow to see if he has heard any of this and I will let you know. thanks luci[I]

Yes I know dealers don't know much but still it was a bit demoralizing.

So I was a bit deflated by this but who knows what news tomorrow will bring.

Any words of encouragement out there??

 

RxO's "VINs" out now" post may have started this recent flurry of inquiries about current order status. Maybe he can provide more info or least the words of encouragement you are looking for.

 

My dealer told me today that VIN's are not available until your car is on the boat. So anyone who has recieved a VIN, their car is DONE and on the way!

 

Well as with all things....time....will provide all answers.
