Default how many chirps are actually possible?

i remember in the nissan movie "the run" the Z chirped the tires at least three times taking off from first gears. Seriously, how many chirps are possible?

odd thread..... but ok....
if u mean breaking the tires loose by popping the clutch... 1st gear is a given, of course.... and I spin 2nd and chirp 3rd any time I am doing any "spirited" driving. Not sure why it is of any concern... the "chirping" actually hurts your acceleration by not laying the power to the ground. However, tells u the clutch is doing its job. The small 245 rear stock tires probably have a lot to do w/ it.....

i imagine it would be much easier to chirp the tires with less than a quarter tank of gas and no spare tire since the rearend is a lot lighter.

I've found that makes a huge difference...had a full tank and a passenger and two barely let go wheras with qtr tank and no spare 2nd and 3rd would get squirley.

depends on tires... stock, 4th... aftermarket... 2-3rd (depends on tire temp) but churping = tires not moving = SLOW

Chirping is not indicative of power at all... just throwing that out there.

Chirping up to 3rd gear is pretty easy.
If you want the best results, do it when the tires are still cold

Its usually from being late on the gas after letting the clutch out

You wanna share whatever you're on?

Chirping is when the tires spin faster than they were going prior to the gear change. When you shift up, you're in the max power band which means more power to the ground which means tires that have smaller coefficient of friction will break loose for a split second (or longer for more powerful cars) before catching traction again. It doesn't happen because the tires all of a sudden stopped spinning while the car was moving forward. That's not a chirp, that's drag. Don't post about things you don't know please, especially with as much confidence level as you two.

I run 235s in the back, and I can chirp 3rd - 4th, but it has to be perfect, and I don't do it everytime.
