Default Question about trading in my car.

I have an A4 that I'm going to trade in when buying a 350z. It only needs the CV boot and joint fixed. But it's costly. It'll run up to around $800 to fix.

Should I trade it in as is or should I get it fixed first? Will unfixed CV joints decrease the value of my trade in more than the cost of the repairs?

i wouldn't fix anything as long as it still runs. Find a dealer who would go by BlueBook trade in value.

Trade in "as is." Now a question that you did not ask:

Should I mention to the dealer that the car needs repair?

I can still get BB value even though the CV boots/joints need to be replaced??

Do not bring it up when you trade it in. If they dont see the problem when they appraise your car, you're good to go! Again...DO NOT BRING IT UP.

my local dealer gave me current KBB trade in value(good condition) -500$ BS reconditioning fee last time and that was it..... negotiate/establish a fair deal for the vehicle your acquiring first though. If they don't follow KBB value, turn around and walk away.
