autostick vs manual

Manuals have less drivetrain losses due to the clutch vs. the torque converter. Less drivetrain loss = better efficiency. New autos are getting better. However, people should buy what they're most comfortable with. I personally haven't found an automatic yet that hasn't p*ssed me off, so I soley buy manuals. Other people obviously feel differently than me, considering how many auto Zs are out there.

My '06 Enthusiast coupe is the first car I ever bought with automatic. This auto is so good it deserves to be called a gearbox! I miss stick on the twisties, but I sure don't miss it in traffic every morning and evening. I'll keep manual in my toys but never again in my daily driver.

+1 Good advice...
I luv having a 6mt in my roadster, but after driving my daily driver (6mt G35 sedan) for 3 years I was ready to trade it in for the FX35 (automatic)... Had enough of driving a manual in stop and go traffic when I went into San Diego or L.A.

same here. my last sports car was a 6spd and i kept it for about a month before getting rid of it. didn't think the commute would be that bad at first but a 6spd commuting out in the dc metro area is like a daily workout. not good for a clutch to be butchered like that driving in stop and go traffic for hours at a time.
as far as others telling you MT is better for performance driving don't believe the hype. first an AT fd can be swapped for a 3.5 just as in the MT. and a stillen AT tyranny valve body upgrade will make your car shift like a bat out of he11. together i would think you would have an edge up on an MT in manual mode.
another plus is an ecu reflash. the advertised redline for my AAM reflash was around 7200 i believe. but i've had mine upward of 7500 or so. when you first experience it you'll just smile like a baby. as you tick past your old redline and feel the car keep pulling in gear you feel like creaming your pants...

Yes, but the integrated digital capacity is such that the functional monitored time-phase is totally incompatible with the synchronised reciprocal mobility.
