Actually, i put 10K into multiple agressive mutual funds three years ago on the idea that i would wait a while until i found out more about the Z...and back then i had no idea what car i really wanted....well after some ups and downs with the market about a year ago i closed the mutual funds, opened up 6 month CD's so i would touch the money...then after the CD's matured, the next day i bought my Z. So while i waited i let the money work for me a little bit.

 

With credit so easy to get, pretty much anyone can buy a 350z...

 

My daddy bought it for me.

 

+1 Saving money your whole life for a car sounds like a lot of work....

 

I plan to buy a car in the fall or winter of 07. I guess that makes it about 18 months... Still undecided whether it will be a Z or not, but it looks promising.

 

been saving for 2 yrs workin 5 days a week and finaly bought a 2 yr old used base model about 8 months ago with low payments..I love it! but cant afford F/I

Difficult to answer. I had saved up about $5,000 as a down payment for my first car when I was 17 to buy a Jetta, then saved up a couple thousand over the years I drove it to trade it in on a Mustang GT. Had problems and filed under the lemon law, took that money and used it on a down payment on a second hand/almost new 04 Z, been happy ever since

Upon retirement I sold back two months vacation time and I added another $20,000 out of savings to drop my payments down to next to nothing.

Started saving this month, plan on buying a 2003 in December as a christmas gift to myself.

 

About 6 years.

I invested $400/month in the stock market. When I had enough money, I bought a 350Z. I figure that it is better for someone to pay me to use my money, then it is for me to pay someone to use theirs.

 

it sucked..it was the end of the season though..and i wanted a bigger down payment.its all good though,the honda thousand is in my future

 

Used my combat pay that I saved up in Iraq to buy my Z. You could die anytime, so that was my main reasoning for buying the Z, I could be dead tomorrow. Plus, my 3000gt is still down because of the turbo conversion and I needed another car, lol. I have the rest of my life to worry about money, don't need to worry too much about it now. Plus, the government pays for my school, so its all good.

 

i got my license taken away for a year im half way there im going to purcahse it cash.. so by the time i get my license back ill be able to buy one..
