you dont have the traction control system then...

do you just want a button to hook up some thing else or something? like lighting control switch?

if you have the base model, you do not have the traction control system. You can not add it... There is no traction control so nothing to turn off or on...

??

If this is something that you expressed during the purchase of the vehicle, then I would get back down to the dealer asap with your concerns.

No...you do...you should definitly go into the dealer and go to the service desk and use this exact sentence "My 2006 base model Z is missing the button for the traction control."

What are you doing that you are having trouble breaking traction?

The Z is powerfull but not soo powerful that if you mash it in 1st gear it will automatically break loose...

Go to a parking lot, turn the wheel full lock to the left and drop the clutch from like 3k...when your car spins around making lots of smoke you will believe us that you do not have TCS.

However...if you want I will sell you the button for $300 which will give you TCS. $500 for VDC.

Look at the owners manual for the location of TCS. Go to the car and photograph that location. Post the photo here.

Like the dealer will know any better!

Unfortunatly, They probably told him it came with it just to make the sale...

Most likely they told him that it had it...and honestly didn't know any better. 9 times out of 10 an hour or so of online research will give you more knowledge of a car than the salesmen have.
