What would be the point? A built and sleeved VQ35 will make stupid amounts of power.

By the time you get done fabricating everything for a 2jz motor to work, the money you would have to spend could have made your Z one of the fastest if not the fastest on this board. It's a cool idea if you have your own shop and lots of time, to do it for ****s and giggles. But in reality it's just a waste of money imo, considering what you could turn the VQ into.

i think it would just be a monster swap for anyone with money... it would look crazy to have th 2jz inside though.

get a cheap sr20................wait thats already been done.........

Just say no to tha 2jz hype. Your VQ has so much potential after building up the internals. Good luck to you in whichever route you choose to take.

Like everyone else has said, unless you have stupid amounts of money and you have an immune skull for all the headaches you will run into, it will be very stupid of you to attempt this. Dont be an idiot, Build your VQ and twin turbo and you will make ridiculous power.

People underestimate the stock block. You will barely even get traction from a N/A block with a TT running perfect in the 11s and possibly 10s. And why would you do that to a brand new car? Don't tell me you have a Civic...

Yeah, i was thinking the same thing (engine swap) when i first got my z. Saw how expensive it was to make decent power with the vq. so looked into rb26dett, sr20 etc. looked a little deeper, and saw the costs. so i said f that. And am about to buy a tt kit. Trust me, its not worth the time or money..unless youre just doing it for the **** of it.And like others have said, our engine has so much potential, so use it, go tt,st or sc. my .02
