If launching at 4,000 gives too much spin, then try 3,000 rpm. Also I heard a lot of people get great starts from 2,500 rpm. Try them and see which works best.

Thanks for the correction.

The Z is picking up 21 mph plus in the last 660 feet. So the car is running well.

Obviously the 2.1 second 60-foot time is hurting you ET. I would like to see 2.0 seconds on street tires. Is it a combination of wheels and tires or lack of practice? I don't know.

As is the Z will run better that 14.0 seconds. You just have to improve on the 60-foot time.

get a 100 shot of nitrous and retard your timing 2 degrees... if you drive it right you can pull off 12's in the 1/4. but hey thats what i would do.

Not sure I'd be worried about beating one car when there will still be so many more out there that are sill faster...

How about this- put some money on it... and at least let the mods pay for themselves..

Put stock wheels back on, get a plenum/spacer, pulley, and some test pipes

for the foose rims, do you mean 12 lbs per wheel extra or 12 pounds extra total? on my 18s they are 7 pounds heavier on each wheel over my stock 17" setup... plus post this in the drag forum it would be better

If it is for each wheel that is a lot for a wheel. That car is begging for light feel. If you were on a jogging track and field event, would you use safety steel toe shoes or superlight nikes?

BTW I forgot to mention the excellent reaction time. It looks like you have the Christmas Tree figured out.
