confused 200sx vs 350z
Hey Guys,
I'm 25 years of age and I have a nissan 200sx, s15. At the moment I'm thinking of getting a 350z, but don't know whether I will be totally satisfied with the performance being a non turbo.
Has anyone gone here from a nissan 200sx to a 350z? If so what would you recommend?
I'm about to blow 10k in parts on the 200sx, but in the long run with all these mods it might cause problems down the track. So i was thinking of putting that 10k towards a 350z instead and leave it pretty much stock.
Any suggestions or recommendations?
Thanks

i'd put the 10k into ur s15. reason being u'll get a faster car for a lot less money. given the 350z is a great car for it's price, it's relatively expensive to make it fast. as long as u choose ur parts wisely and get them installed properly, i wont worry too much about problems down the track.
where in aus r u? i almost bought a s15 when i lived in brisbane

Put 10k in a Z TT and you have a sexy 11 sexy car. Put 10k in a 200sx and you have a 11 second car with your best traction and a beater.
Yes it will be fast but I doubt you will get traction.

Yea the other idea is to spend it on a property! I know deep down its a smarter option, but I just love cars in general. But I'am considering the property option. Sydney is so expensive though!
Is the Z pretty quick standard? Are you guys happy with the performance?

For those that might be confused this is an s15
It would have been the third generation of the of the 240sx (2.4 liter) in america. It was never sold here in the states, but is know as a silvia or 200sx
(2 liter+turbo) in other parts of the world.
In my opinion the s15 is a true lightweight sports car and is damn sexy. But I guess if I lived in other parts of the world that people see these evaryday, it would be a different story.

If money is a issue and you spend all your weekends racing then I would stick with the 200sx.... When it comes to racing who cares what your car looks like (BTW, the 200sx is still a good lookin car), its all about speed and the 350z is expensive to improve on its stock performance...

I would go the S15 rout and build it. There is a particularly good feeling about building you're own car. The key is to have a plan and know exactly what you are building the car for. It can be a beast, like someone said earlier. And giving Porsches, evos and sti's a run for their money is, well, priceless...
