"new" seats and stereo system
Hey, I just put in some "new" seats, they are stock frost gray leather that I dyed two-tone with charcoal gray to match stock colors. I bought them second hand on the forums, and dyed the worn parts. I think they turned out nice, but wont hold up very well... Ill probably have to re do them over the winter.
I also just installed a new stereo
Alpine CDA-9856 head unit
Hifonics Zeus ZXI8006 5 channel amp (55x4 &300x1)
MB Quart RCE-216 6.5 inch components
Pioneer 6.5inch 3ways
custom under strut sub box, and a temporary Kicker sub
here are some picts, please forgive the dirty car...

since I dont think Ive ever posted a pict of my car over here (Ive also added an oem rear spoiler)

hahahaha yes, the sawdust is in the trunk from drilling holes in the mdf ring in the box for the sub. I Am planning on going with either a diamond audio sub, or a JL Audio (10w3v2) and your right the Kicker is an oldass sub
the box was built really nice (bought it off the forums here) its got fleckstone on it right now, I may sand that off and have it painted, but it doesnt look bad now. Im not sure I want it shiny, its kind of subtle the way it is now (in the last 10 years ive lost 2 stereos and a car to theives).
as for dyeing the seats... its been a long process. I ordered leather dye from leather magic. I got charcoal gray to match the interior (which it is really close), lots of painters tape (the blue masking tape), and a matte finish clear coat. the clear coat is in hopes of keeping the dark charcoal gray in nice shape longer, but was hard to apply. it lightened the gray a little, and you can tell if you dont get it even. for Prep they sell a cleaner that strips all old cleaner/protectant off of the leather, I also used really fine grain sand paper to sand the shininess off of the leather without loosing the grain of the leather. this is not a project for the weak hearted...I almost gave up twice. Ill get the headrestes done this week, our local Z club has a meet sat (which means the car will be clean too ha ha)
