Hopefully they won't mess around with your house. I ran into a similar situation a few months back with ........rednecks.....who were also firefighters. They pulled our mailbox out of the ground a few times, why do people have to be such *******s?

Rednecks are usually in-bred truck driving losers and have ZERO IQ...so they usually need to be dealt with by a gun or baseball bat.

Good job in taking care of business!

I am born and raised in GA, so don't take my use of rednecks personally. I have quite a few as friends, but htese just gave all the rest a bad name and fit the stereotypical image lol.

Check Packing.org

CA has the most cumbersom and restrictive gun laws in the US. In CA i am pretty sure you don't have any legal right to self defense with a firearm outside of your home, and it is very limited what you can have at home.

Guns are scary for some people for sure, but 90% of gun owners have grown up arround them and they are not big deal. You keep it in your drawer, safe ,holster or vehicle and don't really think much about it. It is no different than carrying a spare tire. Its a tool. Most folks go to the ranger every year or two just to keep some basic skill. Those that have an active interest in firearms are usually more cautious with them and go to great lengths to keep them secure and keep their skills sharp.

Those that possess a firearm illegally or dont follow the rules usually get caught. Penalties for committing a crime with a firearm are much higher than without and a criminal looses the legal right to posess or have easy access to a firearm ever again.

As for the video, I am sure the guy was in some form of shock just from the surprise of going from the agressor to instantly helpless. Firearms are the great "equalizer" and can difuse a situation that might become violent and protect innocent lives. Firearms are used in crime prevention more than 10 times the rate they are used in commiting crime. (3M vs 300K)

Very well said. I have become very comfortable around firearms growing up and also in my work, at the same time I respect them very much also. I cringe when I see these so called "gangsters" with pistols tucked in their waistbands and such. Careless behavior like that is just stupid. I actually have a small range set up behind my home and shoot regularly, just for the fun and also to improve my skills. Great stress relief to pop off some rounds on a target.

carrying a concealed weapon(pistol) in ca. is a misdemeanor, carrying a butcher knife is a felony however.
your chance of being carjacked or robbed is ten times greater than getting caught carrying a concealed weapon w/o a license..... nuff said.

I would have pulled off to the side of the street in your neighborhood so they wouldnt know where u live. Since they were rednecks im sure they have a couple guns also over at the wife/cousins house

Legally, If he had to actually shoot someone, Retreating to your home an attempting to escape the agressors would make a much easier self defense case than just stopping on the street to confront someone.

Actually, 35 states have "shall issue" laws in place. That means permits will be issued to law-abiding citizens without them having to justify why they want one.

Most other states also have provisions for permit issuance, but may require the applicant to show cause why they need/want a carry permit.

Fortunately NC is a "shall issue" state, and I hold a permit. But I find my Z has very limited options regarding where to keep a weapon. Mine has the "organizer" that fits over the passenger seat, and conceals the pocket built into the back of the seat. I keep it there, although accessing it is somewhat awkward.

P.S.

Reminded me of the video circulating around of the rednecks getting punked by the guy and his GF in a Z3.

did u get plate numbers? file a report for reckless driving and endangerment. Normally when things like this happen I have my son and I jus simply get plate numbers and call the CHP.

Its illegal if you don't have a CCW permit. California does issue permits, but its not a "shall-issue" state. You must show cause to get a permit.

Here is a summary of the California firearm laws:
