.88g revisited again!
I took this out of another thread:
The Mini S is no lightweight either at about 2700lbs but it really proves a point I tried to make a while back about the Z when everyone was complaining about only .88g. Steady state cornering #'s do not equal great handling. And you CAN have a fast slalom even with a miserable G number as illustrated above.

How about 17-in and a super charged Engine?
Anyway, I too will be buying a 350Z, in about two years, when it is a convertable and/or comes with a supercharged engine.

I also noticed that. I remember Road & Track's 10 best handling cars feature that compared handling for the M3, Z06, 911, Supra and some others. The M3 scored a .88G skidpad (one of the lowest) but was chosen as one of the top few in the 10 due to good slalom numbers and lapping times around an oval. I wish I could find the article but R&T seems to have removed it from their website.

Here is what I have to say about the stupid magazine reviews of cars. They've always been biased, and it seems everyone else things so to:

Think about it honestly. How often have you really read scathing negative comments about a car (that weren't so obviously known to the mass consumer and not the web forum junkie) in a magazine that advertises for the car maker being reviewed? And then adjust it for the "top 10 best" reviews compared to the amount of money spent by each advertiser.
Write a bad review and never get invited back to Spain for free? Write a good review and get perks? Sounds biased to me.
