Gavatron-You will not beat an M3 in a straight line with a stock Z. However, take some turns and things get interesting. The only time a stock Z will be possibly faster than an M3 is when the 2007 Z model comes out. However that will only last for about 6-8 months before the M3 is replaced with the v8 400hp version.

I’ve owned M3, 911 and now an 06 Z. In that order. The Z is a great car, that I love, great value for what you get. But its no M3 and no 911.

I would suggest you show her that Japanese video verses trying to prove it. At least her M3 is stick and she might screw up but if she dosn’t and you get beat by a skirt driving stick…yikes... h

I also enjoy people who only have posted the total of 5 times. Wow! You know so much about Z's....

All this proves is the fact that your the better driver, or that you had better/more mods than him

Default M3 vs. 350z

I know races aren't won on paper, but on paper, it seems like my Z would keep up with her. Granted she has more horses (333) but it takes a while to get there (7900 RPMs). My Z has more torque (274 vs. 262) and weighs about 200 lbs. less (offset by about 50 lbs. because I weigh 175 and she weighs probably about 120).

So I ask again, if we went to a half mile track, why couldn't my Z keep up with her M3?
Because it's a BMW! Have you ever ridden in an M3--pretty darn impressive. If she has a 97 or lower the Z will take it!
2001 M3 4.69 0-60 13.38 1/4 mile
2003 350Z Track 5.38 0-60 14.17 1/4 mile

Stop magazine racing, you make all Z owners look bad. Both cars can and have run faster times than that.

To the guy who said his buddies M3 with i/e ran a best of 13.6, tell him he sucks at driving and at life-that is downright pathetic.

i raced a m3 with i/h/e my z is a 2003 touring stock. And we raced frm second gear first race he beat me by a bumper. Second race he got a car on me. 3rd race he pulled almost 2 cars from a 1st gear roll. The basterd wouldnt go off the line.

The M3 is one bad *** car, especially in Laguna Seca Blue(which is arbitrary) and I think a lot more people would own them over Z's if it wasnt for the price tag and not to mention the outrageous fee's for maintenance and repair. The BMW is engineered more precisely and is overall a better car, but most of us would look like a MFC if we tried to fix or mod it ourselve and thats why I love my Z.

P.S. you would get owned by this chick and you would have to look at her fine *** everyday at work knowing she was faster than you and she is married so you cant get with her. Don't race, sounds like a lose, lose.

Long story short, her dumbass actually told her husband that "I have a guy friend at work...and he's very nice" ...and also, told him my name". WTF?

Soo...As any man would do, he starts to do some digging to find out EXACTLY WHO I am. My old job actually gave him my address after he pretended to be someone else

So..HE proceeds to drive an hour plus to my parent's house, where I was living at the time, in his big old Ford F-150 on at least 2 occasions, drive REAL slow and shines a big *** flashlight thru my parent's kitchen and bedroom windows.

I wasn't home on either occassion...BUT my parents were naturally frightened and extremely pissed at me, once I told them who this dude was.

Plus, I have the adultery blackmark on my record come Judgement Day...NOT something I'm proud of or looking forward to talking with God about

What would jesus do

I haven’t the faintest idea who would win. Go to the drag strip and post the results in the drag racing forum. BTW no one no one no one who has asked a question similar to yours has ever followed through at the drags strip. Never.
I posted a simlar question about my friends nsx and my z but we never went to the track so I never posted the results on the street racing because of fourm rules... but the outcome was I WON
