Don't buy a 350z if you don't have self control.

haha you guys need to be watchin for the popo better, wtf! I know where and when I can speed and when I cant, if I know I am in a spot where there are not lots of people and no cops, 120+ on the freeway is easy, its ALOT harder to have self control and turbos...Last recent ticket was a 52 in a 30, but the spot is BULL****, its like a 4 lane road, and the freeway exits there, I dont know when I have gotten off the freeway doing 30mph, regardless I should have known better because the spot is always crackin with cops. I was pretty good before that, not a ticket in a couple years, the previous one was a red light, on a right hand turn, again BULL**** haha. I clearly made the turn when the light was yellow, but this cop whips a u turn and gives me a ticket i was like wtf, then we get to court and ends up the cop knows my mom real well from years ago and THEN is trying to get me out of the ticket telling how respectful I was, possibility it was yellow blah blah blah, so they gave me the minimum $150 dollar fine and let me out.
But I do drive kind of fast all the time, I at least do 50-55 in the 45 zones because thats just to slow, freeway you have to do 80 at least to not get rear ended.....You guys just arent good speeders LOL.

From my personal experience, having owned a few Sportscars, I've learned to restrain myself when neccesary AND to let loose when the opportunity permits.

Anyways, I need to wait until April for a couple of points to come off of my license. Figured I'll reward myself in April with some extra horsepower if I can make it that far without getting another ticket

A few weeks back I was playing chase with and Audi A6-t on I-64 around Lex,KY. He was right on my a$$ an crazier than me, Anyway we were like around 120 or so and we flew right by two state troopers that were in the median. We both just kept going, if we slowed down they would have definetly hit the lights on us. They never even moved. Either they didn't see us or they were like....screw that.

I'm hearing a lot of I Know where to speed and where cops are all the time. And the only reaon you haven't been pulled over is because of luck. Here is a good example I was driving back to work last friday from my break at 12:30 at night(have to work the night shift because of inventory). I was going under the limit cause my licence is suspended for too many speeding tickets. The county road I was on turns from a 50 to a 60 and at that spot there is always a cop. So I go into the 60 doing 50 and it goes down hill so I started to pick up speed. Remember this is a county road so there is a median. I thought I was doing a little over 70 when I see a cop going in the opposite direction turn his lights on drive over the median and come after me. I wasn't trying to flee from him but I kept going cause I was so close to work and needed a reassuarnce that I was going to work. I pull into my parking lot when the lights are behind me and I'm stopped right infront of the door. Now all my co workers are watching me get a ticket. My friend from work comes up to the officer and talks to him and this was the exact words of the officer "it's your lucky day man, I won't impound your car, as long as your friend drives it home." because the officer knew I was going to work he took it easy on me. Dropped it from a 83 to a 69 in a 60. Also driving with a suspended licence. I was so happy since two sundays before that I got clocked at 99 in a 55 which turned to a 65 from a Richfield police officer in Bloomington. Also got my car impounded. So from that little $377.00 experience I learned police in one city can drive into another city as long as it's on the highway. I thought they didn't have jurisdiction. Guess I was wrong.
So to FloorIt I feel you a hundred percent. You have to have self control to drive a 287+Hp car. If not you will pay the consequences like me.

If Californias law is similar or same you'll be taking bus for a long long time...
And for real... is Cali as strict as NY?

Jeez, didn't you think after the first two tickets (hell, after the first one) that speeding in that area might not be such a hot idea? I dunno if it's about self control so much as using some common sense. Maybe you should sell your car before you get in more trouble, or worse, get someone hurt.

Those of you who are shopping to get a 350z, if you don't have self control don't get this car. Some people are going to be like "oh this guy is an idiot", maybe I am maybe I'm not. I'm just letting you guys know that this car is not designed to be driven in public roads.. unless you like to use your pinky toes on the gas pedal.
Cheers

Anyone know if those 3 tickets would lead to suspension of my license in CA?
Yes this is my 1st sports coupe but I drove my brothers automatic G35 for a while.. no comparision automatic G35 to 350z stick.
I realize you have to watch the road for cops but when you have the music going and your thinking about getting _ _ _ _ its just..1st gear..2nd gear.. 3rd gear.. 85 mph WTF? No but really thats how it is.
It really is just too much fun it brings joy to me, which is why I have to sell the car as soon as possible because like that one guy who made reference to a fat women who complains about eating cake. I would tell the fat women simply to stop ****ing eating, although this has caused me to be able to sympathize with fat people because I feel their pain. The 108 ticket was on the toll road (73 toll road if you live in CA) coming toward Greenfield from Laguna Beach, I found it funny because he said he clocked me at 108 at the entrance of Laguna Beach where I didn't see him so I continued to speed where I think I hit a peak of about 140, when he pulled me over about 7-8 miles later off (the Greenfield exit) he claimed that I was trying to escape from an officer and I replied that if I had been flooring it trying to get away I would have been in Mexico by the time he started his engine.
But oh well, what can I do now.. so much power and no where to soar.
IMO the toll road should = the CA auto bahn but of course even on an empty freeway on a dry sunny day you will have a cop or two waiting for the guy who decides to open up his car a bit. I'm pending the license plate "FUKDAPO" it is not taken but I just have to think of something to tell the DMV.. " in my language it means hello " JK

FloorIt....It's NOT the Car...it's YOU!
If you can't focus on driving the Z without daydreaming about getting laid, then you just need to sell the car and take the bus.
Are you for real?? Maybe you need a nice, safe and SLOW auto tranny Toyota Yaris with 77 HP

Dude:
1- get a radar, pronto
2- learn the cop hideouts
3- control the urge to floor the car in more than one shift
4- learn where to go fast and where to don't
5- never wash your car to decrease chance of being lasered by a cop. Lasers work by bouncing waves and a shiny car bounces more.
6- whenever you can, tuck in behind another car
7- dress up like a girl and get a boob job so when the cop stops you AGAIN he can see your cleavage.
No need to get rid of the car if you enjoy it and you can pay it. You just need to learn to use it.
