Angry Sometimes You Just Know.

Went to go play a practice round for an upcoming nationwide event at Empire Lakes GC in Rancho Cucamonga. After narrowly avoiding a huge lead pipe on the 15 fwy (would have totaled my car had I hit it) I make it to the course. I park far from other vehicles like usual and go to tee off.

Once I finished 18 I was walking out to my car feeling pretty butt hurt about my round of golf and what do I see??? My driver’s side window lying on the ground being held together by my tint. Someone had broken into my car and stolen my girls’ purse. The good news was that she had taken her wallet out before we left the car.

Now for the bad news. While trying to break into my car, the thief cause about $1500 worth of damage to my driver's side. Not only was the window broken but the door was bowed outwards along with a huge gash. There are gouges in the trim above the window as well. The thief make off with my lady's make up and car keys...so after all that effort he still couldn't go buy a bag a meth.

I would post pics however I am not sure I want to illustrate how my Z was broken into over the internet. I pray that I catch someone effing with my car...they will be made an example of. Sorry for the rant but I have pretty much had it with the degenerates in this world. Don't hate on me because I can afford nice things.

I appreciate the condolences. I have not done any body work on this car yet. It is chrome silver. I have heard that is a difficult color to match. I am concerned that I am going to end up with crappy repair job. Anyone in socal know of a good body shop?

That sux big time - get insurance to fix it, and there shouldn't be a deductible applied to it since it is vandalism. My bit of advice, don't leave a purse or wallet visible in the car. It's too tempting for those addicts in need of a fix.

I know a few good body shops, but not in OC. I have Silver Alloy, and they did a perfect match on a minor job so I wouldn't worry too much.

Sorry to hear about the ride man...I hope everything works out for the best. Rule of thumb though, "out of sight, out of mind". Never leave anything of value visible to a thief. A-hole kids and crack fiends look for anything to steal.

Yes, it is not the smartest move to leave valuables in the car. I spoke to the insurance company, my deductible is only $250. They said they would cover the damage; however the personal effects that I lost will not be covered. I asked the adjuster if I could have that added to my policy for the future and was told that it does not exist (is that normal?). I realized today that I had some dry cleaning in the back, I lost a pair of pants and a cashmere sweater in addition to the other half of the sandwich I had for lunch.

I called the ford dealer today to get a new set of keys for my lady's truck and was told that I would have to tow it to the dealer seeing that her other set of keys are on the bottom of Newport harbor. I was told that it will be $175 for them to cut and program a new key. There has to be another way of getting a new set of keys. Any suggestions? Thanks.

If it's not attached to the car, it's not covered.

Auto Recon in Lake Forest - 949-587-2886 They do great work (Ive seen their work on my friends cars) and actually my cars there now. Not to great on getting your car to you when they say they will......... but if youre patient, they do quality work. Ask for Ernie and tell him Joe with the black 350z recommended you.

Good luck man!

No I don't have my tour card... yet. I still have my amateur status however I was planning on playing in the Monday qualifier. Getting on tour is very hard. There is a ton of competition. In order to get my nationwide card I would have to Monday qualify, then win the actual tournament. If I place top ten, I get an exemption to the next event. I am in the beginning stages of trying to compete, it wasn't until recently that I felt my game was "up to par" so to speak.

thats awesome, I am an avid golfer but am not that good, about a 8-15 handicap. Do you have to shoot like under every round to have a chance? Good luck bro.

The way I see it, if you can shoot 34 or better per nine holes, you will make a very nice living. Thank you for the well wishes!

That sucks dude. I remember after coming back after a round of golf and having a ball mark on the side of my tonneau cover . Luckily I was able to buff it out. And that it didn't hit the door or I would have a door ding with about 50 dimples in it.
