I got a random question... Are all Z's called fairlady's or is it just the modded ones? And what does that name mean?

its what they're called in japan

It's been used on nissan sports cars since the sixties.

short uneducated version.

dude who created the Z came to US saw the play My Fairlady cried thought it was beautiful wanted to make a graceful beautiful sports car so named it fairlady. americans in the 70's were ate up with manly muscle car names so they named the Z by displacement over here so it would sell


the end!

the history of the "fairlady" name still sounds kinda of gay though...no wonder they're buying American "350Z" emblems for their Z cars in Japan haha

My Fair Lady is about a guy trying to get a girl. Nothing that he tried worked. She ignored him.


Then he invented the 240Z. One ride and she gave up the booty. Its the truth.

I know the story about why the Z was called a Fairlady and that's why I put the decal on the back of mine but I never knew the storyline story about the designer and getting that ***. I'm gonna use it if its true but I want to verify so I don't go putting out lies.

Mr. K did see the Broadway play My Fair Lady. And the play inspired the name Fairlady Z. But I made up the booty part.

It looks like it says fairy lad Z that's why I don't put it on. Plus you lose HP because of extra weight.

hahaha, werd. I noticed some extra umph just from removing my 350z emblem but the weight of the turn signal overlays cut me right back down to size
