just keep it in 6th gear all the time and dont worry about shifting

i shift around 2500-3000 rpm under normal driving, 4000-5000 rpm when i like to have fun, 6000 rpm when there is a cop behind me

I would suggest shifting around 2500-3000 rpm to get started.
As you gain more experience in driving a manual transmission, you will discover what the optimal shift point is for each gear.
