I can't tell how many posts I've read from some people who on one hand park far away, won't drive in the rain, does a "once over" on the Z before driving off, etc., but at the same time they post stories of how they've driven their Z when they're buzzed or flat-out drunk. Beam me up Scotty, what's wrong with this picture?
Does anyone else find it laughable that the same people who would cry over swirl marks or the tiniest scratch or someone parking too close to them would risk TOTALLING their Z for just a few hours worth of drunken entertainment? Besides the fact that I don't drink and I wouldn't drive drunk because lives are precious and it's wrong (cue the PSA), I would NEVER expose my Z to the kind of danger that driving drunk would present.
Hey, I'm not telling you all what to do but for those out there who like to get their drinky on but post stories of the smallest, tiniest problems imaginable with their Z, here's your sign:
HYPOCRISY!
Have a nice day.

I love to party but when I was still with my boys in NC and we'd go to Myrtle or VA Beach if I drank some hottie we met drove the Z. I'd rather a hot chic crash my Z, which allows me to either get it fixed or a new one and I'm probably still alive and more importantly so is the minivan full of kids. Oh and I'm not in jail.
Driving drunk is stupid. I've done it when I was like 16 but that was 4.5 years ago. I value my life and my Z to much to do that anymore.
Good post though, even if you do get the **** flamed outta ya lol

I never ever take the Z out when partying. Couple years back I took her out to a club, became intoxicated, and allowed a sober friend to drive it home. The smart part, was letting a sober person drive it home. The stupid part was taking it out to begin with. My friend ended up curb rashing 2 rims and destroying a front tire @ the Whataburger drive through. Lesson learned: 1. never drive when totally intoxicated.
2. Definitely don't take the nice car out when there is a chance someone else may have to drive it.

I'm one of those people that will complain about swirls and rock chips. I wash my Z twice a week. It's been clay barred and waxed 3 times this summer. I hate to drive it in the rain (I have a beater which is much better suited for such conditions). It gets a LOT of quality from me. You think my car was perfect, wouldn't you?
Quite the contrary. On my way to have an exhaust manifold gasket replaced, *in the pouring rain*, I hydroplaned and nailed a guard rail head on. Both airbags deployed. FMIC is laying 25 feet away from the Z. The initial (visual) appraisal puts the damage at $10,000.
This is a real big kick in the ***** to me. Why? Because you, that drink and drive, deserve to have this to happen to you--not someone who actually values their car's heritage and is proud to own a Z.

It's all good though. The Z is going to come back better and stronger than before.

If you drink long and hard enough, without peeing, you start to become more clear headed. That's a good time to drive. Perhaps you even become a 'better' driver.
