Not useless to me... I've got my Sirius Starmate mounted up there. When it's off, I fold it up and nobody can see it.

That's cool.

I think the only thing that seems to work for me in the glasses holder is a pack of gum. There's no way I can put a pair of glasses in there.

Did they make the holder bigger or different throughout the years? Or does everyone have the same crappy one as the 03's?

I have an '06 and my large Ray Ban aviators fit perfectly if I put them in right side up and facing the front of the car. They don't fit any other way. Of course you have to take them out of their case first. That is why the z's drop holder is felt lined. No shots at my glasses. They're old but don't get blown off my head when I look backwards on a bike/boat/etc.

I put my Garage Door opener in it. Works great. I would recommend it for all guys without the homelink mirror.

Maui Jim's fit if it's metal frame, the sports Maui's don't, Diesel blades don't, Adidas don't. I reckon if the holder was another cm deeper and thicker it would successfully house most glasses, especially the modern wrapped bigger sunglasses with the wide arms.
