Default new purchase ? Enthusiast model

I will soon be in the market for a '07 Z. I want an enthusiast model with leather and navi. However, I also want zero miles on it (dont want to give anyone the chance to high rev the engine before it breaks in properly). So i'm guessing i will have to order it accordingly. Now, if I order it will this hinder my negotiating on the price of the car? Can I even get leather/navi on the enthusiast model??

You cannot get factory leather but dealer, or you, can arrange for aftermarket leather. Don't think so on navi.

Always easier to negociate on car at dealer but should do well on order.

Whatever you do car will have 5 to 15 miles on it when you pick up. Mine had 8.

You can get a good nav system anywhere. And it's not tied to that car. better deal overall. Miles on "New" may vary a bit (0-200), but should never have been titled.

No leather or nav on the enthusiast model. It sounds like you should be looking at the touring model. It comes with leather and you can add nav to it. Mine came with 9 miles on it. It is impossible to get one with 0. I wouldnt even want a car with 0 miles on it.

Oh, and most dealers usually deal more on cars that are on the lot. It would be best to find one that is already there compared to one they have to order.

You can order a 2007. Dealers will be happy to take a deposit. I recommend that you:

a. Have a contract stating the specifics including price.
b. Include a will be delivered on or before date. Also include If the date is not met, your deposit will be returned in 24 hours.

How about this. Find one on the lot that is very close to what you want, but say missing 1 or 2 options. Rake the dealer over the coals with that one, get the price you want, then say "you know what, I really need Nav!" and have him order that one for you, so you pay the price you want plus the price of the option. I've never done it, but it could work right?

question, why wouldn't be possible to have 0 miles on it? okay, i understand 0 is impossible...since the dealership porters constantly move around the cars...but i don't see why it won't have 1-2 miles on it?

does someone always test drive it before you do?

My friend got the least miles that I know of, he got 2 miles before taking off of dealer's lot. He specifically told the sales guy that he absolutely don't want the car to be touched. He was a car salesman, and knows that a lot of them are careless. He ordered his, so if you are buying from the dealer's lot, it will be hard to find cars with walking miles. Cars have to be inspected and that alone is at least .5 miles, if not more. If you want ultra low miles, order your car.

They do have to drive it out of the production facility and take it for a very short drive to make sure everything works. They they have to load it onto a truck, then boat, then train, then truck, then to your dealer. Lots of loading and unloading.

Typically, people are seeing between 9 - 20 miles if it comes right off the truck and never test driven.

Personally, I think your over stressing on this milage thing. If you find a Z you like at a good price with 5-20 miles on it I think you would nuts to pass it up.
