The bottom line is they are doing so because they feel it is the best way to treat people and in doing so, they are taking a loss.

You stated that " IMO, SportZ should of offered refunds (at least pro-rated ones)..." Let me explain it clearly. Sport Z magazine does not exist anymore and the people that started Nissan Sport Magazine are not the same owners. Yes, many of us that worked for Sport Z now work for Nissan Sport but those people are not owners, they were simply working for Sport Z.

To think that different owners of a new magazine should give you a refund is beyond reason IMO. To ask them to refund you money would be like asking Ford to give you money back for a tire feathering problem on your 350Z.

Last point is I think you will find Nissan Sport Magazine to be outstanding.

Well Jeff, Nissan Sport bought out SportZ and it's subscriber base regardless if they went under. If they are employing you and other people from the previous organization then SportZ was theoretically "bought out" and your new employer is now repsonsible by good business ethics if your company wants to survive. It would be very smart for the new owners to honor the paid subscriptions because that would ensure loyal subscribers and no brainer renewals.

This is coming from another business owner. Free enterprise is a great thing. The business/company owes a good product or service and the customers pay for it. Simple.

BTW, why did your previous employer go under so fast?

My comments were directed at the owner of SportZ Magazine (or previous owner), the only issue I got was the last issue by SportZ before they closed up shop, I guess my point was that the previous owner was on these boards asking for subscriptions then shortly after closed down the magazine, IMO it would only be right to offer a full or partial refund to those who just had subscribed to the magazine.

Again my refund comment was directed at SportZ magazine and not the new magazine... I don't expect the new magazine to offer refunds.

Anyways if you do honor all the old subsriptions then I give you all the props in the world as there are no legal reason to do so... Well that is unless you actual bought the company or corporation that made SportZ, but im assuming that you only bought the equipment off of them to start up the new magazine...

As far as your last point goes, I would probably agree with you, I thought SportZ Was well written...

Let me repeat that Nissan Sport Magazine is a new entity and we intend to honor all remaining Sport Z subsciptions. You are correct in stating that we are under no legal obligation to offer refunds for Sport Z, but we have a strong business case for fulfilling those subsciptions and demonstrating what kind of product we have. Once again, we hope to earn YOUR business and hope this show of good faith will at least start us off on the right foot.

SportZ magazine was not bought out in any way. New owners started Nissan Sport and happened to employ many of the writers etc that use to work at Sport Z.

You've got to wait for a bathroom visit to start reading NSM? We didn't figure that into our demographics! LOL

I just got my NSM issue in the mail. Being a writer for the magazine but living in another state thus out of the inner hub so to speak, I do not get to see the overall layout etc until it arrives in the mail.

I know I might be biased, regardless, the new NSM is outstanding IMO. Yep, it looks like a home run first time at bat. Starting with a new magazine along with the new owners allowing everyone working for the magazine to provide input has created a better magazine. I am happy to see many of the ideas we have been discussing actually appear in print.

I also feel that including all Nissan products in the magazine makes it a better and more interesting read. Best of all; I know that it will even get better in the coming issues.

Terrible Two's article, that has 2 turbocharged 350Z's & the the "To Infiniti & Beyound" article is a G35 JWT TT. That covers the new FM platform pretty well.

Is this mag the best though in terms of covering at least one Z each issue?

I am pretty dissapointed in nissan sport magazine.

I don't really wait for it to arrive like I do some of my other subscriptions... I hope it picks up cause I was real excited when it came out.

So it only comes out like 4 times a year?!?!? Whoa. I'd think they could get plenty of content. I bought the current one and it's cool but come on. At least 6 issues a year.

Yeah, I have been pretty disappointed with the mag as well. I didn't renew after my first year ran out. They gotta pick it up if they are going to get a following, IMHO.
