Can you be more specific about the probability. 75 percent? 50 percent?

The cost of your monthly payments on an auto, as well as insurance and gas should be no more than 20% of your monthly net income. But if you live with your parents thats another story...

Anyways I decided to wait till December after work cools down, I'm not sure I'm going to be wanting to drive the Z to work back and forth when I'm working 7 days a week 12 - 16 hrs a day. I'll be dirty as hell too. The reason I'm not putting a down payment down is cause I had to make up some debt I owed and I'd put 5k down only if I had 10,000 in the bank. But I decided to wait till December talk them down some more then or wait till the 07s are out put and put a down payment. I've already made my mind up to get a 350z though even though I love the Mitsu Evolution and all my friends are trying to talk me into it, I want the Z. Maybe I can pick an Evo 9 up later used =) Also, buying a house is a lot harder than you think even making good money. I wouldn't be able to find one in the area I wish to live for cheaper than 700,000 dollars and having NO credit makes that impossible for me to achieve for another 5 - 6 years if that. I do plan on owning a house before I'm 30 though. Thanks for all the replies =)

I just picked up my 06 Base two weeks ago. Got it for $200 below Invoice. So paid $25,660.

Put down 3K deposit and financed the rest at 5.9%. But plan to switch all the rest to one of my CC's that is offering 0% for a year.

With payments being about $450. That will about 5% of my monthly net.

It's good to have excellent credit scores.

The Z is a great car. My boss who has his name on the side of a building and drives a 6 figure car pulled up to me last week and had to comment on how "damn good looking car you have there".

Funny all my other co-workers drive MB's, BMW's and a few Elises and not one has had the boss comment on their car.

Must say something about the beauty and elegance of a Z.

Been trying to get my buddy to race me in his Elise....think I'd win??? Or should I wait till I put in a TT kit?

I've been shopping Z's for a few months and decided to wait for the 07 since it's getting more hp. Anyways, I'm looking at MT Enthusiast Coupes and keep getting offers from dealers in my inbox all the time. 2 are worth mentioning...

06 MT CS Enthusiast Coupe for 27,205 +tax and license

06 MT Interlagos Enthusiast Coupe for 27,005 +tax and license

Then, about a week ago, I got a follow up email from dude with the Silver Z and it said there was a new rebate from Nissan, blah blah blah... since his offers already had some incentives factored in, I sent back... so how much cheaper than your last offer would that Silver Z be now?

He said 26,005 +tax and license...

It sounded like a hell of a deal, but I'm set on Black and the new engine with the dual intakes... even if it is a few thousand more.

Something to consider also... Base models don't have LSD... meaning if you punch it, it's going to lay down one strip of rubber instead of two. Aftermarket LSD's run approx 2g's... so it would be worth it to go factory instead of adding later. (Just something to consider)
Wow! $26k for an Enthusiast. Which dealership and which saleman were you talking to. I need to go there to get mine.

Exactly. Sure, you can afford it now. But remember, you'll be paying on the car for a good number of years to come. You still planning on living at home that long?

Almost half of your salary for a Z is a lot. You're going to be stuck in the house and if u get the Z. Good luck trying to move out later down the line unless you got paid double.

350Z = almost half salary for a month
House & Bills = the other half

No money left to even go anywhere with the Z.

You may want to go for a Z for 20K.
