If u look at Z suspension wise ....it was desgiend to be a curve carver. The main thing that kills the Z out the box isnt the weight def isnt the power it was tires. If u put wider more higher rated tires ..i mean teh Z steps up alot and is more able to put down the power around the bend better. I mean personally stock tires are way to small for the Z especially the rears.....It just proves that theZ with a capable driver nice tires can out shine alot .....i mea all those cars i think none have the corner capablity say the evo. Which awd even though is amazing doesnt always perform better on a track. Im really impressed that the Z finally gets the cred it deserves. Cause Only ifu own one u really appreacite the value u get for the car nissan designed it to be.

Yeah, the 2006 Z has a much better wheel setup with the 19's in the rear. All the Japanese racers have been doing that with success. It makes me wish I bought those 19" LMGT4's at my local dealer. Some dude ordered 'em and then backed out. I could've got 'em for a really decent price.
I don't expect the USDM Evo to be all that because its platform is naturally front heavy and it doesn't have AYC, which is what made it so fast in JDM.
The funniest part is that the stupid Cobalt which has a nonfunctional wobbly wing beat out the Mustang.

cobalt ss supercharged (just ss is a crap) is very very fast car and it corners well too. I drove one at Chevy revit up, and i liked it better then new 400 hp corvette (automatic). And yes stock Z tires are worst, when i bougt it went to autox and it was all drifting now traction

yea people are forgetting that this isnt the jap model evo....tech differences of the us version are why the Z will pretty much outshine it on a track set at that setting. Straight aways with the evo preety mucha re even with the evo...slight advantage to the Z becasue to me looking at both cars i think the Z has more uptop slightly then the evo. But....Im not surprised alot fo people hated on the Z becasue its had a long run of sucess and great track record We justneed people to understand what the cars about and how to master its capablities.

LOTS of Rx-8 owners suprised that the Z beat out the 8 along with the evo. They claim that it was because C&D chose a track that better suited the Z due to the long straights...

Vindication, finally! I knew I bought the Z for the performance.
I was shocked the MR was slower. I assume the combo of wider, stickier rubber on the Z and Evo missing the AYC was the difference.
