read alot of threads and really realized the lack of knowledge for the history of the Z, some of these guys wouldnt know what a 280Z or a 300ZX is. So with this being said, here is the question
A. Did you buy your 350Z with no prior knowledge of the history of the Z?
or
B. Are you a Z lover influenced by prior Z models?
Be honest.

I bought a new 260Z in 1974 so I have been a Z fan for more than 30 years.
Members who recommend Wait for the 2007 Z. It will have 310hp or Wait for the 370Z have no knowledge of Z history. Did 240Z owners all sell there cars when the 260Z was released? Did all 280Z owners sell their cars win the 300ZX was introduced? I estimate that 50 percent of the current 350Z owners think that the Z is 3 years old – not 35.

B.
When I was 14 my next door neighbor got an orange 240Z for his birthday (spoiled brat). He took me for a ride in it and I was hooked. Unfortunately I was always very practical when making automobile purchase decisions....until this last car. The kids are grown so I don't need a back seat. My wife has a four door sedan, so if I need a usable trunk I have one.
This car (2004.5 roadster) is strictly for me.

Loved my 1977 280Z and always loved the Z32, so being able to buy the Z33 was a dream come true for me.
I will still be buying a Z32 in the near future though as that is my all time favorite Z car.

B. My first car was a 240sx since I couldn't afford my dream car (at the time)...300zx TT. I'm honestly more of a Nissan/Datsun enthusiast than just the z, in other words I'd take a r34 over a Z anyday, the Z's just the best thing that's ever been available by them in the states so that's what I got
I'd have to say B. I always drooled over the Z32TT back in high school, as well as older Z's. They've always been ahead of their time as far as looks go.
My dad had an '80 Datsun 200SX, it was pretty quick...

Initially had no interest in the history. Just bought the car because it looked cool and I had wanted one since they came out when i was in HS. Now that I have it I notice how much I like the 240's and 300's and now I take pride in my car. Even if I could get like a Z4 Coupe or M3 I'd still keep and mod my Z
