OK, it's not a Lamborghini? why so much H8 for the Z
Honestly i have not met one Z owner in person that is not a khaki anoying *****. ALwys wanting to race cars, usually faster ones, and always boosting stats. Guys i said in person ok. A lot of you here are great, i am just saying that most z drivers i see are always trying to race ferrari's or **** like that. Maybe that is why. Because we have that iamge. Oh and of course people cannot stand the facat that most parents buy this car for their kids because it is not very expensive and that makes adults very jealous for the fact that their first cars was prob worth likr 500 dollars and looked like ****. Follow me?

Are they really wanting to race or just tempting the other guy to get on it? I used to do this all the time. Pull up next to a guy with a wicked fast car and 'give em the sign' and watch them put their car to the test! Hah... Works everytime...Fun stuff

I think it might also have something to do with the fact that Z's are used more for daily drivers than say lambo's, as they are more affordable and it's more ok to daily drive them. And more teens/younger people own them as well, again because they are more affordable. So you see more vandalism of them as there are more of them, in less commong plasses than lambo's.... if you're pissed off cuz you dont have crap, then what do you do? attack the nicest crap you can find, and what is that? The Z, cuz it's the most common nice thing around... (or something like that).

When I go to work, or to the store, my car is probably one of the more ostentatious vehicles on the lot.
I look around and see cars that cost the same, maybe a few that cost ALOT more...but still the Z is a little 'in your face'. It howls across the parking lot then sits next to other cars with it's streamline profile clashing with everything else.
You wanna hate on something? The Z is a prime candidate. Damn thing sticks out like a sore thumb at your local Wal Mart. How many Porsches or Lambos you see going to Wal Mart?
Add this to the fact that Z's are pretty mainstream for a sportscar. Drivers may not be cocky, but the car does carry that attitude.

One of the theories I see most often is that people hate/vandalize the Z because it looks expensive, and they're jealous, think they can't afford one, etc. That certainly may be the case in some instances, but I'm somewhat skeptical, because there are plenty of other cars that are and/or look more expensive, and I'm not aware of them being targeted like the Z. I'm not aware of Porches and Mercedes being huge targets for vandalism, for example. If jealousy of perceived wealth were the motive, I would think we'd hear of 911s and M3s getting screwed with all the time. Could be just me, but I've never heard of these other cars being habitual targets for vandalism.
I'd like to suggest an alternate theory. People find out how relatively inexpensive the Z really is, and get bent out of shape that they spent just as much (or even more) on some other vehicle, and got much less bang for the buck. So at that point, they feel humiliated. They feel stupid. They feel outsmarted. Thus, if there's any jealousy involved, it's not so much jealousy of wealth, but jealousy of others' intelligence and resentment at being humiliated. 'Oh crap, why didn't I think of getting that car? It's so much quicker! I spent just as much money on this Prelude and these cars routinely leave me in the dust! Oh, I bet the guy who owns this Z thinks he's so smart; he must think he's just so freakin' great! I'll show him!' SPLAT!!!!
Just a theory, but in my experience, people get far more bent out of shape at the thought that others are smarter than them -- especially if they feel like they're made to look like fools in the process -- than they do at the thought that others have more money. Let me put it this way, I've never gotten into a scrap because I had better clothes on my back than someone else. I have, however, gotten into scraps after humiliating people by running circles around them in some argument (and they're always the ones to throw the first punch, in case you're wondering).

Here's analogy:
Mr Smith is an average looking guy with an average salary. He is neither charming or intelligent. He leads a boring life. And yet, he is dating a hot, young female who loves him to death.
Mr Jones is a young, good looking Surgeon. He's charming and likeable. He's also adventurous, generous and outgoing. He is also dating a hot, young female who adores him.
Which one of these two guys would you be thinking about more? dislike more?

If you take into account that Sydney is in southern Australia I'd guess that Australia is actually closer to Japan than the US.
Interesting example today. I go on clubwrx alot because I used to have a wrx. I mentioned something about loving my Z and some moron posts "gotta love that sedan chasis and minivanengine"
This coming from someone who drives a sedan chasis with a forester engine.
This is just an example of the kind of nonsensical hate. People seem to go out there way to try and find a reason to hate the Z.
