Yes, I still wash my Z during the rainy season. A lot of grime and dirt gets on your car while it rains, and it's important to get it off. The rain doesn't and can't wash everything off. I won't wash as frequently however.. maybe once every other week as opposed to once a week.

i agree. a little bit of water isnt going to destroy your wheels. besides, youre just going to clean them later anyway.

but if you have the time and patience to do that, i applaude your commitment.

I wash it in the rain, then drive it into the garage to dry it. Save some water and what else can you do when it is pouring out there anyway.

i try not to drive in the rain if I could, but sometimes it cant' be avoided. And rain doesn't discourage me from washing the car. Gotta clean that brake dust and dirt before they do damage!

That's just been how I've been treating aftermarket rims and tires for the last 15 years. Back in the old "put Daytons on anything days". It only rains pretty much in the fall and spring here where I live. It's not the water that destroys, it's the mud and junk kicked up when you drive on wet surfaces. I'm not rich enough to shell out 4k every couple years for a new set of Volks and Toyos, so I like to take care of what I have.

Thanks for the applause

So you guys just dry your Z's off after it rains. Wouldn't you guys be scratching your paint with all that road grime?

Hey, you live pretty close to where I am. It started raining around here. I washed my car the first day it rained. It was so cool because I had a lot of time to wipe the car down and not have to worry about buffing out water spots. Now that it's raining today, she's dirty again. Oh well.

I'll detail the interior, if its raining. If I know I going to drive in the rain, I'll wait till the next day I have a chance. I wont go a week though without washing it.

Numerous times I've started washing my car and then it started raining in the middle of it. I just finish washing it pull into the garage and dry it. Though the neighbors look at me like I'm crazy. thats was with my old car though. No rain for the Z.

I fortunately have the option of not driving mine in the rain so when it's raining(or the forecast calls for a chance of it), it gets to sit in the garage and keep my T.A. company. When its time to take her out, the California Car Duster does the quick work, then Meguiars quick detailer.........shines like new!

No Garage so no choice. I do try to keep good wax on it and just rinse and dry it off on the weekend with a good cleaning ever 6 weeks or so.
