Default wow... I just got busted hardcore.

3am I'm leaving my gfs house to go home. As I'm getting on the interstate this truck behind me was driving like a jackass. We merge onto the highway and he waits until the last second to change lanes to pass me (almost hits me) and then gets in front of me and starts slowing down pretty quickly. So I change lanes to go around him and he starts speeding up..... since I didn't want to speed that fast I slow back down to get back over... and of course he slows down with me to block me from getting over. WTF.... so I sped up quickly and put some distance between us and to get back over in front of him. So he floors it and gets right on my ***. I have NO idea what this guys problem was... I was driving normally and minding my own business the ENTIRE time....there was hardly anyone even on the roads at this time of night. So he rides my *** (he's like a foot or two away from me) for about another two miles until I decided I had enough and I decided to put some serious distance between us. I drop the hammer and take off. After I'm well in front of him... in my rearview I saw another car pass him and at the same time I'm both hoping it was and wasn't a cop, so I start slowing down. Sure enough it's a cop. So I pull over.

From in his car he got on his intercom and told me to get out.... I got out... he told me to lift my shirt.... so I lifted my shirt and turned around and he said ok.... so I get in... and he's like what's the big hurry.... and obviously I'm a little shaken up... so I tell him no hurry really but that guy behind me was messing with me and wouldnt leave me alone so I tried to get away from him..... and he tells me in a situation like that I should have got off at the next exit.... I told him I didn't know what was wrong with the guy and I didn't want to get shot.

He then says you were really moving.... I had to do 120 just to catch up.... and you were still accelerating... he then says I got you at 97 in a 70 (I'll decline to say what it really was)... 3 more mph and you would be going to jail... I told him... honestly I would rather go to jail or get a ticket than get shot by some crazy lunatic for no apparent reason.... and I apologized for speeding and making him have to come get me. He noted my perfect driving record and told me to talk with the DA to try to get it not to go on my record.

He told me to be safe... and I told him to do the same.

What a fuggin shtty night. I'm not mad at the cop at all he was just doing his job. As far as I'm concerned it's payback for all the times I sped and got away with it.... but what pisses me off is the jackass who provoked it got away. Blah.

Ouch man, I would have just started to slowly slowed down once I got in front of him. But then again you are a pro, so I should be listening to what you would do, Good luck with everything man.

I didn't want the guy hitting me. When I passed him I slowed back down to a little over the speed limit and shortly after is when he gunned it right on my ***.... after that I DID try slowing down and he just got even closer to me. He was in a full size truck. I'm not going to play chicken on the interstate with a big *** truck.

hindsight is always better than foresight... had I known there was a cop not too far behind I would have just chilled and let him witness it. What I really should have done was not pass him and go another direction after he passed an exit or something... but while I was behind him it had just started and nothing had happened between us so I didn't really think there was a problem between us... i just thought he was driving like a typical retard..... until he started trying to pace/block me from getting over....and then erratically riding my ***... by then it was kinda too late.... so I just did what I could to get away from him...and I did.

I'm still alive, not in jail, and my Z is in one piece.... I'm just $300 poorer. I'll take it, thanks.

i would have just pulled over to the side of the road with my hazard lights on.. and then put my smith and wesson MP.40 in my lap and waited to see the trucker's intentions.

Wow, sorry to hear about this. I had a situation like this many years ago when I had my old 95 civic. My situation was I thought the guy wanted to race me or something. The car pulled quick on my a$$ and I decided I was going to stomp the pedal down. So, turns out it was a cop that said he had saw me driving a little fast earlier on 95 and decided to follow me. He was right on my bumper. So, he ended up getting me at 103 in a 55. I got to go to jail for two days and a $600 fine and 6 months restricted license. I think you will get off alot better than I did. Im glad I learned from that mistake.

More than half the people driving that late at night are under the influence of some drug whether it be alcohol or meth you can bet you ran into one of that 50%. Driving that late at night you can assume the police have their radar up looking for those drugged drivers ... and of course a speeder doing twice the limit.

Be careful out there. That late at night you never know when mother nature's beasts are going to wander across the road in front of you.

thats y i carry steel ball bearings, like my biker friends do. drop them out the window, cuz when they bounce at 60 mph they do serious damage. they alos go though windows easily. only used them once.

install a brake light kill switch, and hit it, then get off the next exit, cop wont c u if ur far enough, and most likely cant keep up w/ a z.

the second you saw him go around the truck you should have slammed on your brakes and stared at your spedo, if you got down to the speed limit within a few seconds he couldnt have possibly paced you (i assume u have radar and it didnt go off) think its rather bogus that he gave you the ticket though

I've heard of people using their celular to call the cops in this kind of situation. Anybody try that? Did it work?

i remember this Ahole left his left turn signal on the entire time cruising on the slow lane of a two lane highway and this Ahole would pretend to switch lane everytime i attempted to pass therefore preventing anyone to pass..... what an Ahole.

That is just a ****ty situation. That is one of the times where it is good to have the digital camera with you so you can snap a quick video of the incident for evidence. Talk about bad luck
