this is how I got my first speeding ticket as well, got tailed really bad and finally had enough so I floored it, cop got me at 85 in a 55 - he really yelled at me and said he didnt care if I was being tailed or not
Its a sh!tty situation, but like you said its better than having something bad happen between you and the truck

When you've got some a$$ harrassing you on the road, could you call the cops for assistance?

1) One, if they REALLY want to mess with you, they're gonna follow you when you exit down the off-ramp...

2) If I've got a gun and they've got a gun, then it'll probably be a re-enactment of the Road Warrior... HOPEFULLY I win... or I lose BIG time.

Is calling the police a realistic option? I'm wondering if anyone's tried this.

I think you handled it rather well considering you were unarmed and it was late at night. Tough luck on the ticket. Good luck with the DA though.

Get a few coins out of your coin department.. race past him... and launch those coints at his window--ud be suprised what damage u can do, and because he would swerve to the left he would smash the police car out of the way 2

Roast, the main thing is both you and your Z are okay. It could have turned out a whole lot worse, although it's a pain in the pocket, that could pay for a little mod.

 

1st of all you ought to hire a traffic attorney... i dont know about where you live but here in houston everytime im in court every1 i see with a lawyer tends to get the case dismissed. second of all those cop cars can only go 120 and ur Z can go much faster so even if you didnt slow down and you kept going you probably would have gotten away without any ticket.

IANAL, but you can probably get it dismissed with a warning from the judge considering the circumstances (the truck, the lack of traffic, no priors, etc). I don't know about how it works where you are but it's possible that cop won't even come in to defend since his advice was for you to see the judge to get it dismissed. The cop probably couldn't just let you off with a warning right then because he had already called it in.
