First of all, thanks for all of the support guys. This really is a great forum!

Poison32: I bought the car (well I tried to buy the car from Carmax) b/c they were discounting the car and my local Nissan dealership was not. So I figured driving an hour to save some cash wasn't that big of a deal. And at the time I had heard some good things about the dealership (Don't believe everything you hear is the moral of this story!).

But anyways....I did receive my deposit back today via Airborne Express from Carmax. A written apology and a loaded Touring for $29k would have been even better . I guess I could have made some kind of stink to get it back with interest. After all, they had $500 of my dollars for 3 months. I do plan to contact the BBB. I'm not sure it will do any good or not, but I figure at least they'll hear my story.

A dealership in Charlotte is currently trying to locate the car I want now. They told me that they could probably find it and have it delivered within 72 hours. I've got my fingers crossed that I'll be driving it by this weekend. If not then at least by early next week.

And if any dealers are on the board, I have 10 grand cash to put down. If you're willing to make a deal on a Enthusiast or Touring model please get in contact with me.

Thanks again guys!
Todd

Check with Nissan of Statesville and talk to James Wilburn. I bought my car there and was very satisfied with how it was handled. Tell him Tony told you to call, the number is (704)872-8500. They had several on the lot when I was there and he also owns another Nissan dealership so he has access to more cars.

Sorry to hear about your problems Carolinafan. Carmax is the Nissan dealer in Greenville SC for those who keep asking. I bought mine from Upstate Nissan from Richard Kay (owner) in Anderson SC. Nice choice on Z's by the way.

Upstate is cool too. I bought my first 350 from them. Amy Claytor was the salesperson and top notch service from them too. I would have bought my second one there too but couldn't locate what I wanted without having to buy it from another dealer and that woulda been costly.

Default Great news!

I picked up my Chrome Silver Touring w/ Frost Leather Tuesday night from Independence Nissan up in Charlotte. I couldn't have asked for a better buying experience ( I guess it helps when you don't have a trade in).

I absolutely love this car! I'm hoping to post some pics this weekend once I get her all shined up.
