I just got back from visiting families in the Philippines. It seems that they downshift everytime they slow down. At 2nd or 3rd they are still below 2rpms. Even at stops they have the clutch in and wont release until they the car gets going again. From 2nd to 1st they just step on the clutch instead of pressing on the brakes. I wonder if I can apply that here?

LOL, were you trying to make those crazy new U Turns on Edsa Street in Manila? I thought I was a good driver here, but man those taxis drivers in the PI are nuts...Honking your horn is called defensive driving there, oh yeah, and if you are pedestiran, you better run when you cross the street! cause you will be a target for them!

ROFL I didnt get to drive over there dammit! But I doubt I can drive manual over there I just started learning on my Z since July. It's funny they honk but drivers dont care. While here, when you honk you either get a bird or something else.
My dad is a NY driver and when he was driving over there the **** was crazy. He wouldnt give in to anybody and nobody would give in to him. Its especially scary when people try to pass people in oncoming traffic.
