I got a new 04' blue roadster with the enthusiast package but worried I'm worried because although in the appearance-wise there isnt much of a difference compared to the 06'. However, Is there anything i should be worried about... is there any downers to driving an 04' and not an 06'.... what's the difference between the two besides the headlights?

What you don't know won't hurt you... j/k There is not much of a diff except for the nicer looking 18'' wheels and the LED taillights, steeringwheel mounted stereo controls-oh yeah and if you have a manual tranny the 06' has more horsepower but nothing noticeable

Congrats on the new Z!!!!!

04 is known to occasionally blow up when you rev above 6k rpm. Also if you go over 160 mph and hit the hazard you can bypass the governor and hit 220 mph. I did it and caught up to a Hayabusa.

Congrats on the purchase. Check if it's a 04.5

Im sorry when it comes to talking about cars it's like a whole new different language to me... I have no idea what you just sed... if you can revise it that'll be great... i do know what 160mph means and i know that it's very fast... and i highly doubt that i'll ever even attempt to go that fast to begin with.

Oh and how do i check if it's a 04.5? And why did you want me to check it? Is it good or bad?

No need to worry. Nothing wrong with an '04 Z Roadster, especially Daytona Blue. It is just as much fun to drive as the '06.

Enjoy the ride... and the extra cash in your pocket that you saved buying an '04 vs. an '06.

If you already bought it, it's too late to be concerned about it now.

But speaking as a DB 04.5 Roadster owner I can say you have a phenomenal car. So relax and enjoy the amazing car you have. I actually don't like the mods they made to the 06(except the steering wheel stereo controls).

I think the DB roadster is the hottest looking thing so you made a great choice. You get better torque with the 04 as opposed to the 06.

I have also heard that the shifter is smoother in the newer models, but that and the steering wheel are not enough reason for me to upgrade.

Exclamation

Sometimes when you turn the corner at high speeds the wheels fall off. Just be careful.

not much difference except for the headlights and the 18rims on the 06's. And the 06 have more HP, but they lower the torgue a bit. so dont worry about, and yeah i would take it to a dealer and make sure there isnt any recall on you car because when i bought mine from a "NISSAN" dealership, i went back to get an oil change and all of a sudden i have two freken recalls on my car, some pip underneath the car and my tires on the 03. trust me take it in to check.

Wow I sure hope you got the 04.5 and not the 04. The original 04's had those weird rims that were known to get really brittle and shatter if you drove the car in temperatures under about 60 degrees farenheit.

Also, the interior of the 06 was redone on a number of panels in a higher quality rubberized type of material (best way I can describe it). I think it looks a good deal better inside with this.
