Default Lost control of my Z.

I was being stupid. Trying to pass on the right side of the road doing about 70mph and hit some gravel. I spun completely around and ran up on a curb. I actually thought it was going to be alot worse than what it was. The only thing that happened was I completely destroyed my rim. My tie rod end was bent and broke my spindle. There may be some more damage but I haven't ripped it apart yet. I'll have pics up probably tonight.

the right side of the road, like the right lane, or the emergency lane of the highway?

Be sure to check the suspension as it sounds like the wheel + other parts got some serious beating.

Wow man. Glad you're okay. Definetly not a fun feeling losing control. I actually did the same thing you did last tues. except it was raining and i wasnt going 70 mph. I was actually going through an intersection when the rear end decided to come out from me. I tried to counter steer but that didnt do much.. was already too late. http://s100.photobucket.com/albums/m...gAnch=imgAnch1

Again, glad you're okay and i hope you get 'er back on the road asap.

Well why dont we post a thread of your spin outs.
cause im sure most everyone has spun out once in these cars.
i myself spun out on my drive home. the road has a left, right, and then left.
i usually do these at 80mph just cruising through. its a two lane road with no traffic and when i get off work is early in the morning so no one is around.
well i decided to see one day if the Z could hang the corners at 100. well took the first turn fine, went to go for the second and rear end came out sending me off into the grass, corrected back onto the road to start doing 360's and off the road again. scraped a little bit of the front bumper and this is all that happened. i was scared as hell cause when i was spinning all i could see in front of me was a chain link fence. man i thought i was done. but it came to a halt and i drove home to check the damage and nothing. lessoned learned. i haven't driven that road that fast since and probably wont. need a track. just to dangerous on an open road. just lucky i didn't hit the mailbox that i missed and i have no clue how i did.

no offense, but you deserved it for passing on the SIDE of the road. i cant say that i havent done it. but it was pretty ****ing stupid when i did. and i bet the people that saw you do it are still laughing at you. please think twice about the chances you take when around other cars w/ families.

i will speed. and i will never deny it. faster than a lot of people on here. but i can never know when someone else is not paying attention to me.

Good that you are ok...However, I would consider that reckless driving....Hope your repair cost isn't too high.
