From a "Little" experience on this,,,,As a retired Motor Officer in Arizona (25yrs)I was ask once this very question so I did a self imposed study of what color and male or female driver as violator. I averaged at the time of over 200 tickets per month and for 6 months I kept track color of car and driver gender.

Silver cars,,,,female drivers made up largest group of cited stops made...
Not any specific brand of cars, just colors.
Silver is not the big color here in southern Az. as the summer sun has fun flattening out that color easily. White is the majority color of car and trucks sold down here as most think it is a cooler color, temp wise.

 

From personal experience, I disagree. My first 350Z was white, and I got followed by cops all the time. Seriously. At least three or four times a week on the way either to or from work. Now I have orange, and in the year I've owned it, I've been followed twice. I find it really strange, since it would seem that the brighter color would get more unwanted attention. In fact, that was my only concern when I ordered Lemans Sunset. But, I'm not complaining.

Oh, and off topic, but I also have way less people trying to race me in the orange one.

 

 

i drive a Le Mans 350z and a Sunburst (yellow) Sentra Se-R SpecV and i have never been pulled over, and i get less looks in my z then i do in my SpecV... I got pulled over more in my Silver Honda Civic hatchback (91)..

 

At one point, the most stolen car was a red Civic if that is any indication...

 

i have a redline with black rims and really i think it probly does make you drive a little more agressively but i havent got pulled over yet. knock on wood

 

A cop once told me that "he saw me coming" in his rear view mirror. I had my headlights on. I think they attract too much attention because they look so different from regular headlights.

 

When I got pulled over, the cop told me he smelt my smelly exhaust. He didnt cite me for that, NJ cops don't care much for emissions. BUT he did give me a 72 in a 45. He was a hot shot to tell you the truth. I was following traffic and when I told him I was unsure of what I did, he yelled at me.

 

I personally don't like Matchbox's interpretation of Lemans Sunset..
