Default Warranty Advice

I bought my car back in March. I bought it used from a chevy dealer. Anways, I purchased the extended warranty from them, they said it would be good at nissan, but when i went to nissan and asked about it, they said I would have to pay upfront and then get the warranty company to reimburse me later. I was pissed about that. Who should i call and ask about that? I really want my money for that becuase I spent about 2700 for a 75K mile extended warranty. I got ripped!

I would start with the company you paid your money to first, have them sort it out with the Nissan dealer. You paid for no hassles, no hassles is what you should get.
Or your money back

+1. Never spend more than 5% of the vehicles' cost on an Extended Warranty. Heck, My Nissan backed 100K warranty was only $1,200.

Usually there is a deductable, we'll say $100 in this case, that you have to pay at the time of service and the warranty covers the rest. Or even some make you pay the entire amount up front and the company who issued the warranty will cut you a check to reimburse you at a later date.

I'd call the dealer you purchased the car from and ask them for the specifics. The warranty follows the car, it isn't a Nissan warranty but more of a general car warranty from a company who specializes in this service, its not uncommon. So if you have something go wrong, covered under warranty, you could take it anywhere and have it warrantied, not just Nissan. Like I said though, call the dealer or look through the paperwork you should have received regarding the extended warranty.

Is there a reason that you do not simply read the warranty?
