Hood doesn't look bad at all... if this was the original shape in 03 I would never have noticed.

As for performance, I think it'll post almost identical numbers(in a straight line) with G35 sedan 6MT. Official wt is 3532lbs, so it's 100-200lbs heavier(than 06) but offset by lower final gear.

I just saw the 07 350 Z.
Was supposed to go to the San Jose Auto show but was late. Capitol Nissan has it still in protective wrap.
And yes NO TRUE DUAL EXHAUST. Red with cream interior seats. Wasn't a Grand Tourer.
I have the first one coming to Stevens Creek Nissan, due Feb 2. A GT with manual to replace my 06 GT that was totaled by the drunk head on.
Will cost me $ 5000 to get it but I am happy. Stevens Creek is giving me a great deal considering it's the first shipment and only Z plus it is an GT.

Can't say enough about the folks at Stevens Creek Nissan!!

Or my wife for suggesting that I get a new one instead of repairing the 06. ($22,000 est)

She says 5 grand is cheap. She won't have to listen to my complaints about the repair work.

Always new I married a bright Women.....................

Life is good again.

Although I am having problems with the whiplash.

You either hate the hood or you don't mind it, I guess it's not that it's hideous.. you're right less people would complain if it was like that the original year, but I think they ruined a good thing. Not as sexy as the current hood by any means. The beluga is funny, I was thinking it looked like a damn mesa or something or a little card table just hanging out like "eat dinner on me".

50 freak...understand that the hp difference is more like 15. The 07 rating of 306 is under a new rating system. The 06, under this same rating system would be 290, not the 300 as advertised under the older system.

Pretty sweet deal considering the money I spent looking for that x=extra hp on the totaled 06. Now it's there from the factory with no need to add pop charger or change plenum and exhaust with headers etc. with ECU reflash from Tecnosquare. This way it's alot cheaper and factory.

I think the hood is going to look good from the drivers seat. I always liked the bulging hood in my 97' COBRA, made me feel that I had a BIG engine in there, even though it was not.

The 06 "rev-up" VQ is 293hp under the new ratings. The 07 G35c still uses this engine and it is rated at 293hp now. The HR produces approximately 13 more peak HP, but if you look at the dynos, both engines produce similar output until very high rpm.

Which is a great accomplishment. It produces 13 more peak hp keeping the same powerband which means more power for a longer period of time.

Am I the only one impressed they were able to keep and even improve low-end torque AND peak hp while lengthening the powerband and having no downfalls?

even it has 306hp, my guess it's still a high 13s car. It will have a very hard time compete the same price range cars nowaday. unless it's boosted,

I have to admit....

The hood really isn't all that great. In fact, I do prefer the older hood over the new 07 hood. When you see something new....you either like it or you don't. Sure you could grow to love it....but it just isn't the same.

When you see the 350z for the first time...you think "wow". When you see other cars that are just so basic...it just really isn't all that impressive. With the 2007 350z hood...it's not that impressive...in fact.... you wish you had the 2006 hood. When you see a Ferrari....you don't need to be convinced by other people trying to convince you...it's as simple as that. The new 350z hood.....just isn't that impressive.

I am getting a 2007 350z simply because I need a new car......and they didn't have the color I wanted in 2006. A 2007 is what I will end up with....but....I have nothing wrong admitting that the 2007 hood just isn't as impressive as the older 2006 hood. That's just the honest truth. So, look wise, I think the older cars have the edge. In other ways, I will have the gain of a new car, and a newly designed engine. I can live with this. There will always be something bigger and better.....Skyline will eventually be here..... then in 2011 everyone will be driving 800hp cars.... who cares....be happy with what you have.

Looks are subjective.....but I definitely don't like the side profile in of the pictures. It might be a different story in person though, so I'll reserve my judgement.

Nissan North America, Inc. today announced the availability and pricing of the revised 2007 Nissan 350Z and Nissan 350Z Roadster. Both feature a number of enhancements – highlighted by a new, more powerful, next-generation 3.5-liter V6 engine and a new front end appearance. In addition, 350Z Coupe Touring and Grand Touring models receive standard Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone System with steering wheel-mounted controls.

The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the 2007 Nissan 350Z increases only $250 from 2006 on all models except the 350Z Roadster Enthusiast model, which increases $500 and includes front seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bags that are now standard on all Z Roadsters. The 2007 350Z went on sale at Nissan dealers nationwide on January 5, 2007.

“The Nissan Z has built a tradition of exciting performance and outstanding value for 37 years now,” said Bill Bosley, vice president and general manager, Nissan Division. “This newest iteration, with its more powerful VQ-series V6, epitomizes the innovation and continuous improvement that has defined the Z’s success since its introduction in 1970.”

The new engine, which features nearly 80% redesigned major parts (except bolt, O-rings and clips), is rated at 306 horsepower* and 268 lb-ft of torque with both the close-ratio 6-speed manual and 5-speed automatic transmissions.
The engine is part of Nissan’s VQ-series that has been on Ward’s “10 Best Engines” list for 13 consecutive years. The Z’s hood has been redesigned to accommodate the new dual intake system and to reflect the 2007 models’ more aggressive and sporty personality. Other refinements for 2007 include three new exterior colors – Solar Orange, San Marino Blue and Carbon Silver – and Roadster models receive a new optional gray convertible top (replaces the previous blue convertible top; a black top remains as standard).

All 350Zs continue to offer standard Nissan Advance Air Bag System with dual-stage front supplemental air bags, Zone Body construction with front and rear crushable zones and Active Head Restraints (except with Burnt Orange net seats). The Z has also earned NHTSA’s 5-star rating for side-impact crash test safety**.

Pricing and Model Availability

For 2007, the Nissan 350Z Coupe is available in four models – 350Z 6MT, 350Z Enthusiast, 350Z Touring and 350Z Grand Touring.
Starting MSRP for the 350Z Coupe with a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission is $27,900. The Enthusiast Coupe adds cruise control, Traction Control System (TCS), Viscous Limited Slip Differential (VLSD), aluminum pedals and more, and is available in a 6-speed manual configuration starting at $29,600 or in a 5-speed automatic configuration starting at $30,600.

The 2007 Nissan 350Z Coupe Touring model is available with a 6-speed manual starting at $32,700 and with a 5-speed automatic configuration starting at $33,200. Touring models add a 7-speaker Boseâ audio system, heated power leather seats and, with manual transmission, standard Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC).

Nissan 350Z Coupe Grand Touring models start at $36,100 for the 6-speed manual configuration and $37,100 for the 5-speed automatic configuration, and add super-lightweight forged-alloy wheels, front and rear spoilers, Brembo brakes and VDC for both the manual and automatic transmissions.

For 2007, the 350Z Roadster is offered in three models – Enthusiast, Touring and Grand Touring.

The 2007 Nissan 350Z Roadster Enthusiast with a 6-speed manual configuration starts at $35,550, while the 5-speed automatic configuration starts at $36,550. Both feature power seats, a glass rear window with rear defroster and a rear wind deflector.

The 350Z Roadster Touring trim adds a 7-speaker Boseâ audio system and heated leather seats and starts at $37,900 for the 6-speed manual configuration and $38,900 for the 5-speed automatic configuration.
The 350Z Roadster Grand Touring model adds Brembo brakes and standard VDC for both the 6-speed manual configuration, which starts at $40,250, and the 5-speed automatic configuration, which starts at $41,250.

It also does not look like you will be putting that on a stock 07 Z. Dropes down way to much at the tips.

Or not hard too tell??

Even though the Z portion of the US site has not been updated, you can at least find out how to use the Bluetooth feature.
