What is your MPG displayed on your trip computer?

You can reset it anytime you want, but if you want to be able to verify its results with your own calculation, then you need to reset at the fillup.

FWIT...
I average 20.5-21.5 combined city/highway driving.
On highway driving along I consistently get 23+ and on most trips I rarely see less than 80MPH and usually closer to 90; all to say I'm more than content with that MPG.
When I've checked the computer against calc by hand the computer seems to be very accurate (or at least accurate enough to give you a good idea of what mileage you are getting).
My Titan, on the other hand (which is my daily driver) doesn't do quite so well!

Lately I've been getting about 19.0, that's with the cold weather and using the cruise control CC really helps out if you're just going from point A to point B, I usually switch it on when I'm going about 50mph in 6th gear. I also try to watch the oil pressure to make sure it is below the half point line. Arghh..gas is killing me!

Just out of curiosity, how much is a gallon of premium running in the Los Angeles area these days? Looking at my last BPAmoco receipt (from 10/29), premium was $2.35/gal. (I'm in the Atlanta area.)

And so you cannot KNOW that the mileage computer is accurate. (although it almost certainly is)
To determine miles per gallon, you need 2 peices of info: 1) miles driven, and 2) gallons used.
