Question What is your MPG displayed on your trip computer?

Currently on your trip computer, what does it say for average fuel consumption? Just curious because I'm driving the Z like a ***** I don't get any more than 21 MPG.

Think it said 20.3 this morning when I got to work. I have been averaging 20.6 with three fill-ups so far. I drive in bumper to bumper traffic twice a week though, and sitting there really starts to use up the gas.

On another related note: I have seen as high as 23.6 in city driving, though this was during the early break-in, with me shifting around 2500 or less.

Mine is 99% city driving, and usually reads around 21 mpg.

Are you aware that in order to get current readings, you need to reset the MPG display?

At each fillup, I 1) reset the computer and 2) calculate the actual MPG. To my surprise, the computer is extremely accurate. BTW, I consistantly average 22.5-23.5, mixed city/hwy.

o crap, you have to reset the computer at each fill up? I didn’t know that. I thought the computer was sophisticated enough to figure it out…

It's only accurate if you know how to use it. Unless you reset it each time you fill up, it can't have a clue about what your MPG has been. I do, so I've found it to be dead on. At yesterday's fillup, my MPG was 26.

Does it have to be right after the fill up? or can be a little after?
